The EPL Spending Spree

How long does everyone think this can continue for?

Surely a few years down the line and the money aspect is things is going to catch up with the majority of clubs?

I know many have some good backers behind them but what would happen if they got bored and moved onto other ventures?

The TV cash is massive it has to be said and this always helps.

Just seems that the spending is going crazier than ever. Look at United and Liverpool for example.

Man Utd signed Anderson. Nani and Hargreaves already which will be pushing them around the £50 million barrier. Tevez on the way too. Crazy crazy.

Your even finding Sunderland paying £5 million for Chopra, bidding £8 million for Gordon of Hearts and whoever else.

It will be interesting to see how things develop down the years and if any teams really suffer in the way Leeds UNited have done.

Re: The EPL Spending Spree

So many teams are getting rich owners now and they cant all succeed.

Aston Villa, Man City, West Ham, Portsmouth and Spurs have all or are about to spend lots and all have high expectations to finish top 6 and soon top 4.

Then there are already the top 4 who are mega rich and have class players beyonde these four.

Then you have teams like Everton and Blackburn who have great managers and good established squads already.

Now you have Sunderland, Birmingham and Fulham spending money, although Fulham have a shite manager for club level buying so many average players.

Then Reading and Bolton do things on the cheap, up until now they do it well but can they compete with all these other clubs spending fortunes?

Middlesborough are shit and will go down in the next 3 years so no need to bother about them, id hate to be a Boro fan at the moment.

Point being, so many of these teams are going to fall short of expectations.
