Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Looks like i'll have to go away more often, 3 fcuking wins in my absense including one against the mighty Rags, only 31 more points now to be safe.

Early doors yet and i'll comment in full later as i need to get some food in as i'm starving and the cupboards are bare but its been a better start than any blue could have ever expected.

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Oooh my sides are aching through laffing, I'm watching MUTV and i've never heards so many bitter bastards in my life, Paddy Crerrand deserves the freedom of Old Trafford he's so up Fergies arse.

He's even talking about buying Crouch now ffs what planet are these fcukers from, maybe they could swap Heinze for him and dust eveything under the carpet.

ohh, hold on... he's wants to buy Anelka now, why doesent he just tell the truth and tell us what a silly twat Fergie was selling Nistleroy.

Don't think Fergie had much choice slick tbh. Ruud didn't look that interested for much of the last season he was with us. Whether that was because of his relationship with Fergie breaking down or the cause of it is still a bit unclear.

As for this season, 1 goal from 58 attempts is obviously poor but I think the 'we need a striker now' panic is a little over the top. I guess it may improve us but we were easily the top scorers in the league last year without an out and out striker so where's the difference. On Sunday we had Rooney & Ronaldo out (46 goals last year between them) plus Saha and Ole injured. That's last season's strike force! The replacements are either new to the PL, not match fit or youth players - no squad can really deal with that.

Just a bit of misfortune atm but all will come good!

Did Paddy Crerand really say we should buy Crouch??? What a load of bollox.

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Bojinov is out for 5 months apparently.

Aye they're doing ok now, lets see how the pansies get on when it's lashing down with rain at eastlands on a cold wednesday night in December. Wont see much sexy football from Geovanni then. He'll be mincing around in tights and yellow boots trying not to get a shot fizzed off his frozen legs.

Bet half the team wears gloves as soon as it turns nippy.

Puffs.

Not like our team or homegrown hardmen, like Dave Alonso and Terry Torres. Real scouse grit in our team.

Faggots!

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Thats half of Fergies problems Wayne as when he has a fallout he's like a baby losing his dummy and won't stop crying until he gets his own way.

You don't get rid of ure best players when u have no suitable replacements, granted you'z won the league last yr when it was not expected but Fergies Euro record is pretty dire truth be told reaching only one final in 18 yrs with the resourses he has had.

I don't like knocking Ferguson as his domestic record is superb but he seems to get some sort of stupid ' Euro head' on when in the Champs league and plays football foreign to him and the players wheather he's trying to prove something i don't know but its strange considering he won the UEFA cup with Aberdeen on grit and determination which is associated with British teams and himself when he first went to United, his buying also leaves a lot to be desired and i bet i could count on one hand the amount of successfull players he has bought for the millions spent, his break came with Cantona and it was a lucky one at that as theres no way on earth anybody could have predicted he would go on to do what he did, allthough it was at a time when a few great kids were also coming through.

Anyhow enough about Fergie as this is a City thread and Fergie deserves one of his own as i could talk all day about his strengths and weakneses' but if u guys wanna keep up with the Jones' then i'm afraid u will have to go all continental like us

And as for the Winter AFU i'm not to worried as the backbone of our Squad is British and Irish its only our flare players that might find it a bit chilly but i've heard on the grapevine our new under soil heating is being instaled by glowworm, a present from Mr Shinatra just for such occasions.

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Bah

Thought Villa were a bit unlucky tbh but in truth you can have all the ball in the world but if you dont create chances it means fcuk all

Thought both teams looked pretty solid but you have to say neither created much & neither really loked top 6 material on this showing, top 10 maybe, but not top 6 IMO

Dodgy keeper though a more fluent attacking side (ie one that gets shots on target ) would have made that apparent I think

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

I thought Villa were the better side also and expected far more from City who disappointed me but I will put it down to just a bad game from them as they can't be doing all that poorly if they are so high up in the league.

Keeper definately looked vulnerable. Again though ive read him performing well and i guess it says a lot if you can keep a clean sheet when your putting in bad performances (or it could just be the Villa strikers are shite )

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Agreed , villa had a lot of possesion but I thought we looked more dangerous when we attacked. Sven likes to sit on leads and try and catch teams out as they look for the equaliser.
Kasper doesnt deal with crosses very well but he'll learn. You cant justify replacing him even though he's clearly 3rd choice at the club
We defended so well today and I think we can improve . Villa looked very organised and they'll be up there all season I rekon.

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Whats up with Bianchi?

Thought he was doing alright for City? Looked very dangerous when he came on too i thought.

Can't believe Mpenza started ahead of him. He looked poor last season.

Re: The Official Manchester City thread 2007/08

Mpenza won a lot in the air today but I agree Bianchi looks quality and he's works so hard too, it's looking a good squad as we were without crazy 'ol Ireland , GHiovanni and Bojinov and of course Samaras
(who?)
