Lewis Hamilton - F1 Crash

3rd Qualifying session in Germany and Hamilton crashes out. Looked to be going around 140MPH when his right front tyre just exploded on a left hand bend and Hamilton went nose first into the tyre wall.

There was a spectacular crash with one of the BMW's a month or so back, Kubica I think it was and he was ok. But his was more of a side impact and that allowed the impact to dissipate. Hamilton's was nose first into the wall and coming to a dead halt, whereas Kubica spun and came to rest over a few hundred yards.

Lets hope he's ok and manages to race tomorrow. Though, with him being in 10th place on the grid, they might rest him and forefit the points.

Sounds like he's ok AFU. They're just taking precautions with him at the moment.

Apparently the front right hand wheel gun failed during the tyre changes and his wheel wasn't attached to the car properly!

Imagine that in your Mini Metro at 140mph.

Crazy stuff Wayne. It was some impact, even if it was into a tyre wall. Just coming to a sudden halt like that must put some strain on the body.
