Bolton? Entertaining? OMG! Are you thinking of Michael Bolton?

'Big Sam's' Bolton were a shocking outfit. Terrible, terrible footballing side and the fact they were always so high up the league reflected very poorly on the overall quality of the Premiership I thought (standards have generally fallen everywhere though in my opinion). I can't emphasise enough how much I hate Bolton. I hate Bolton. Michael Bolton too. Bring back John McGinley.

Aye keeks, they're a very well organised mob I'll give them that. On the Thursday night town was mayhem. From the Gate down to the Bigg Market there were pitched battles.

We were stood outside Idols having a tab, debating whether or not to go in. This Celtic fan had grabbed a piece of concrete from the roadworks next to the club and run inside to bray some other blokes head in.

The trouble spilled out onto the pavement and there was a proper 10 on 10 brawl. It was messy. No one was wearing colours, it was just a big ruck between pissed up nobheads.

Anyway, it just so happens that a group of around 300 from North of the border were staying in the B&B's of Tynemouth and Whitley Bay rather than in town. There was a bit of bother on the thursday and the Police got wind of them. Friday morning they escorted 300 'fans' to Central Station and made them board a train back north. They apparently all jumped off at Berwick and the mob got on the first train back to the Toon. They went on the lash again, went to Whitley Bay and kicked fuck out of the place on the Friday. 18 bouncers and 3 coppers ended up in hospital.

Hmmmm

Oh dear oh dear. Let's just hope they never let them into the English leagues as there was talk about doing. Otherwise, we could be witnessing scenes like this at places like Hartlepool and Huddersfield every week
