how poor were england today,the part timers of that mighty rugby nation usa were running them ragged at the end,i dont know how ashton still persists in giving farrell a game.there looks a big gulf in class between the southern hemisphere and the northern.

Aye they were shite Tom, on that sort of performance South Africa will destroy us, in fact after watching them today they look capable of destroying anybody. I'm not saying they take drugs or anything but they look twice the size of anybody else and even made the Samoans look like dwarfs.

As for the North-South divide, there does seem to be a gulf in class once more when it seemed to be narrowing a few yrs back, I wouldent say they are playing any better just that the Northern teams seem to be going backwards.

Ashton is percevering with Farrel as he knows what he's capable of from his Wigan days working with him in rugby league but its just not happeneing at this level in Union and i doubt he'll be selecting him for much longer.

all four home nations have had a poor start,they all looked a bit nervous for some reason,we will see how the next games go it will give us a better guide to there form.
