Proffesionals...

Well it seems some sports stars never learn from other peoples mistakes

England have fined one-day captain Paul Collingwood £1,000 after he went to a lap-dancing club on the eve of Sunday's Twenty20 match against South Africa.
England lost the Super Eight game by 19 runs, with the married Collingwood out first ball, and he said he later apologised to the England management.

Smart move mate ..... , i would have thought all the grief Freddie got would have been a lesson to the rest of the team !

But it has , its ever since they won the Ashes , they all just seem to think they can go out and get bombed all the time ......

Re: Proffesionals...

Hmmm

Cricket isnt a real sport so I will have to talk in general terms here. Sportsmen can do whatever they like quite frankly as long as they perform. If a player wants to get sucked off at half time by a he-she, he's free to do so as long as their performance doesnt suffer.

Quite frankly I dont care about cricketers and their silly game. The sooner it is banned the better.

There's no indication that he was actually pissed and therefore no real evidence his performance suffered as a result. Unlike Flintoff who was clearly mullered. Plus as well, cricket is meaningless and the 20-20 world cup is at the meaningless end of the spectrum of the cricketing world. SO we have the most meaningless tournament of the most meaningless game - is it a big issue?

Well there's no real evidence that his visit to the lap-dancing club was directly related to his performance, but in the match the following day he was out for a duck first ball, and didn't bowl at all. Not really the kind of performance he needed.

Re: Proffesionals...

Agreed.

It doesnt exactly send out the right message, on the eve of a game.
