Long may the boos continue

I thought Ferdinand was suspended for England on Weds. Could be wrong though.

he's totally missed the point AFU ,maybe it's the way I put it across but I meant that Scots are not like how they are portrayed in the media , obviously I was too subtle, ah well
Anyway , Gerrard took the critisim in a good way I thought at least he seemed to care.
Good point about Terry Cople and Rio, why were they not playing ?
Wasn't Rio banned? If Terry was fit saturday then he will have been 99% on Wednesday when his country needed him, wanker

Re: Booing England players
Ashley Cole was probably the biggest miss IMO because Bridge had a stinker of a game. Funny because ordinarily, I'd have Bridge over Cole. Infact, I'd take him to Liverpool in January if it was feasible. Which it probably isnt.
I think Wednesday was just an almighty fuck up. I'd have played Hargreaves holding instead of Barry, Beckham from the start instead of SWP and a one legged JT would get in the squad ahead of Lescott IMO.

Yes Rio might well have been banned. Wouldnt be the first time I spout nonsense only for it to be factually inaccurate. He's still a goofy lipped twat anyway.

Re: Booing England players
Ashley Cole aint been the same player since he left Arsenal, seems to spend most of the time running up his own arse lately and i wouldent even have him in the squad tell the truth.
We talked about the left back spot a couple of months ago when Nicky Shorey got a couple of friendlies under his belt over my pick Leighton Baines, overall he had a couple of solid games , nothing spectacular but he did the job he was brought in for then out of the blue comes Bridge who's done fcuk all for the last two or three yrs.
Again not a player i would have picked but given a choice of Cole or Bridge , it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Cole is twice the player.
Even during the game it was clear to see Bridge was struggling , I was even shouting at the wife he needs taking off and I'd shove Barry there and bring on Hargreaves to do Barrys job in midfield if it didnt want to waste putting on another full back in Ashley cole.
Then once Barry went off at half time during the double substitution and Bridge remained on the field we were stcuk with what we had as Mclaren then only had one other sub left.
Mclarens a fcuking numpty and the whole squad layout on wendesday was a shambles, we only needed a draw ffs and he took to gambling when it wasent necessary.
I actually thought the Carson thread was silly talk by the papers when i read it the day b4 the game and thought nowt of it untill i saw the team sheet and couldent believe it,Then Lescott appeared after having a stinker against the Russians and Bridge pops up from nowhere.
Thats 3 of the back 5 not familar with each other in the most important game for yrs, I'm surprised nobody has asked Mclaren yet whats up with Woodgate as he's a solid centrehalf and doesnt buckle under pressure.
As for the booing thats upto the fans and comes with the territory as Beckham found out in France 98 when they were hanging effigies of him from lamposts, It seems harsh but the players don't forget and usually go onto to prove them wrong which aint a bad thing as it doesnt lead to complacency.
If anything Wednesday's game at least taught us a couple of lessons, firstly and i've allways noticed this, every time somebody says its raining and it will suit an English team its a load of bollox as we usually get beat and you can count on one hand the amount of times any English club plays in the rain duting a season.
We've also found out that Micah Richards is not a right back and should never be considered one unless there is no other option during a match, he's great at bombing forward but not so great at bombing back.
Saying that he was only working to instructions and should have been told to hold his position until we went behind, but he was steaming ahead b4 they even scored which was uncessary especially with SWP alongside him who by the way can also play right back but was obvioulsy told not to cover for Micah.
Its like Mclaren thought the Croats would never attack or if they did its nothing to worry about.
Another huge problem England have is left of midfield, its been going on for about 10 yrs and still not been solved, Joe Cole is a great player but its unfair to keep asking him to play that role, he's probbaly the only playmaker we have and we keep harping on about bringing Scholes out of retirement for England so why don't we just use Cole in that role as he's just as good if not better, it means dropping either Lampard or Gerrard but we know they don't work together so whats the hold up, having the option to bring either of the bench would be a great asset.
At the end of the day the England team arent in to bad a shape, they are no world beaters but have the ability to be in the top 6 teams in the world, I don't mean wednesdays team either, bar a keeper and left midfileder when everybodys fully fit we should be able to compete with most sides with the players we have , hopefully under new and proper management we might qualify for the world cup and hope by then a few yougsters like Walcott have also made the grade.

Lets be honest, none of England's regular back 5 were on the field:
------------Robbo
--Neville--Terry--Franz--Cole
To have a rag tag bunch of players for such an important game was very unfortunate. But, if he hadnt been such a twat to Carragher, Jamie would have been available in central defence alongside Sol.
Mismanagement, poor tactics and we got beat fair and square.

Re: Booing England players
I always get a bit angry when I see teams being booed, only to be cheered to the rafters by the same fans 20 minutes later when they're winning.
Having said that, I've just watched the England game again and I can understand why anyone would want to boo the useless cunts.
How the fuck Lampard could be quoted as man of the match just defies belief. I noticed at the time that he was anonymous in the first half. Gerrard was dreadful all game bless him. What I didn't notice on Wednesday was that the worst player on the pitch in the first half was Mica Richards. Yes, he will go on to be one of Englands finest but on Wednesday he was fuckin awful. I feel sorry for SWP. Yes he was at fault for stopping and trying to play offside for the second goal when he was caught out doing Richards' defending for him again (a trait I noticed in a previous game they played together - it wcan work with players like Cole and Bridge but Phillips is in no way, shape or form a defensive type player and never will be) but his contribution was more plus than minus which, crouch aside, was more than could be said for the rest.

I started watching this about 15 minutes into the game and after a few minutes asked my wife was Lampard playing. She told me he was but after another few mninutes having not seen him or heard him mentioned I managed to convince her that she was wrong . I'd love to see the stats for his time on the ball and pass completion as he was a complete passenger first half and barely better in the second half.
I almost booed Ireland a few times recently but stopped myself becauase (1) I think its counter productive and (2) I'd feel a complete tit if I started cheering 5 minutes later. Can you imagine being at work and having a tough time at something and some guy started booing you at the top of his voice. Even if its your fault its hardly likely to make you do better.

People that boo are twats.
The same people that booed Crouch a couple of years back were no doubt the same twats that turned up for work on Thursday morning saying that Crouchy was the only one that could hold his head high.
Never boo your team.
