Booing England players

Well it appears the geordies started to boo Gerrard at this morning match , this absolutely disgusted the BBC radio commentator and Chrissy Waddle, both of whom were at the England game and both of whom have never paid to watch an England game.
Their outrage was almost tangibkle and of course they were completely in tune with the general England supporting public.

WRONG!

Alan Green picked up the 'disgusted of beeb' baton on tonights 606 phone in, only to be picked apart by geordies who correctly stated that Crouch was cheered and Gerrard was the only one to be picked on.
His answer was to say would the geordies have booed their own player? Probably not , I didn't boo Micah Richards today but I did kind of snarl when his name was read out.
Green suggested we all go down to soho square and boo the FA, this just shows how far away they are from the people they are supposed to represent, Green is backtracking now but it's clear they dont have a clue.

I remeber cheering gaza at White Hart Lane on the first game of the season after Italia 90, fortunately football fans will always be in tune with real life in the way that the pampered journos can never understand

Newcastle United fans do not contribute to Steven Gerrard's wage.

He receives no money for playing for England, all the player's match fees go to charity.

Small time, poxy, fucking fickle Geordie no-marks can boo Gerrard all they like. As we saw yesterday, it only serves to motivate him and drive him on.

I have no problems with fans booing my players. In fact I encourage it because any players in recent years that have been singled out by supporters and given extra stick have more often than not, gone on to stuff the opposition and raise their game. And I'm thinking about Cantona, Beckham and Ronaldo in particular. All given stick by the boatload and all raised their game.

Long may the boos continue

Re: Booing England players

The fans can boo all they want is it not just a case of England not good enough . They had chance after chance in that group, maybe not as good as they think, its not as if there is a lack of effort ,just not good enough.
