Alan Hutton finally signs for a big club

Looks like Mr Hutton will finally be moving South of the border, in a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Looks like he had the choice of Villa, Everton, City or Spurs. I would have gone for Villa personally but can see the attraction of a London club obviously. Given their current wage structure, I cant see he'll be on mega money so there must have been a bigger attraction pulling him to London.....

Re: Alan Hutton finally signs for a big club

Said in an old thread on this that the fee is a joke. This is a player who a year ago was on his way out of Ibrox and was valued around 0.5m.

He played a few good internationals and european games and now he is close to 10m. Hasn't been to impressive recently either and was ripped a couple of new arseholes in the last 2 european games against Lyon and Stuttgart where he was very poor.

Great bit of business for Rangers mind.

Also think Spurs is the better team to go to of the ones u mentioned.

Also is it just me or is 33k a week pretty low for a player of £10m?

I know he has tripled his wages at Rangers but it does seem low.

Kiko as far as I am aware, no player at Spurs is on over 50k a week. I am sure they have a ceiling of there or thereabouts.

Keane, King and Berbatov will be on the max 50k a week but no one else there is on big money. They have always had a policy of not paying over the odds. Admirable I think, when you consider Newcastle paid Kieron Dyer 80k a week for 5 years or so....

Re: Alan Hutton finally signs for a big club

Why do you think Berbatov wants away man. He knows he can get twice his current salary at Newcastle - and that's no exaggeration.

His agent must be looking at the likes of Barton on 65k a week and cursing the day Dimitar signed for Spurs. The poor lad's on Working family tax credits the poor thing. He cant even afford a new alice band the little scruff bag.

Oh to be on just 50k a week eh.....
