And let's not be silly and get into an EPL v SPL argument, because you simply cannot truthfully believe that the SPL is better. The 2 leagues should not be played on the same planet.

Please note that I am not comparing the relative strength of the England and Scotland national teams - right now there's not a great deal between them - but their respective leagues.

Dave, if you ever hear me say that the SPL is better than the EPL then you have the right to come up here (as long as you have your passport and a valid visa), take all my money and have me sectioned alongside Britney.

There is a lot of Colin Nish up here but there is the odd good player coming through, and not just at Celtic or Rangers. However the standard in general is pretty crap. Which makes the achievements of Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen in Europe actually pretty decent IMO.


Anyway, Beckham, think we all agree he will hopefully get his deserved 100th cap when his season kicks in.
