Re: Dwain Chambers representing GB at the Olympics?

i can see a movie here....

working class boy has a gift for athletics, but is arrogant and brings shame upon himself, his family and his country by taking drugs and gets stripped of his medals and is rightfully diguarded by his peers. For the next two years drifts from sport to sport failing, then he meets a crusty old trainer who sees something in him and they start working hard together- he is a changed man he has become humble and knuckles down.

a fight both on the track and in the courts, concluding in him winning both battles. And in a fairy tale way he wins gold against all the odds. fade out with the freeze shot of him crossing the line

cut to the testing lab with his sample, it reads positive- roll credits.

we need a name and a star in the lead roll. as it will be a hollywood production the main character will have to be white american as he isnt a pimp or a gangster and denzil washington is too old. Maybe Al pacino as the crusty trainer could be the part that gets him his second oscar, about time he played a part more suitable for a man of his years, and maybe some tasty bird as his love interest who gets her baps out.

Gotta be Will Smith in the starring role...Not sure if he'll master the London accent, although he did pretty good on the 'Ali's voice

Re: Dwain Chambers representing GB at the Olympics?

Today's Bettingzone Market News:

1205: Ladbrokes offer 14/1 about Dwain Chambers claiming an Olympic 100 metre medal on the eve of his High Court bid to win selection for Beijing.

And the sprinter is 100/1 to bag the gold.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: "Chambers may be a pariah, as far as many athletes are concerned, but he's been well supported for a podium finish by punters."

The layers have been forced to slash Phillips Idowu to 6/4, from 4/1, for triple jump glory in August. - He's now 2/5, from 4/5, to medal and 100/1 to set a new world record.

===========

Annoyed I missed the 4/1 on Idowu.

Re: Dwain Chambers representing GB at the Olympics?

Well it looks like he's got the big kb from the high court, I don't know the technacalities of it all but i feel quite sorry for the fella as he's been training like hell over the last yr or so without drugs, we all make mistakes in life and if we banned every cheat then we'd have hardly any sportsmen left.

I used to be one of the ban em for life brigade but the sport is rife with it and if other countries are letting there cheats compete then why don't we
