Re: Welcome To Spurs

Very surprised they sold him , he does look class.
Pretty sure he got a hat trick in Barcas last match of the season.

Whats the crack with Berbatov ? Most of the papers were sure he was going , but its all gone quiet now.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

Win gossip sells papers and the gossip will keep going on till the start of the season, all the papers coming at you from different angles on the matter and whoever (media) predicted (fluked)the outcome will give us the old "you heard it from us first" a famous red top trait.

Man Utd want him, ok show us the money, they havent.
His Agent says he would be looking to move, well weres the move, whos interested,my guess is right now theyre aint, and if there is it must be one of the slowest moves in history.

Ramos,is looking for replacements,Ramos is bring in the players he requires to build a squad, yes obviously to replace, but does that mean Berbatov is leaving NO.

If the biggest clubs do want him and there is a place for him in their team and dont forget this guy will want to play every week and then yes I think temptation might just get him to sign, until then he is a SPURS PLAYER.

Err I sounded abit serious and slightly miffed that he might be leaving,I aint they come and go and good luck to him if he does leave

Re: Welcome To Spurs

I really like Dos Santos.

Think this is a great bit of business for Spurs. Didn't play regularly enough as a starter and i thought he would have hung around a couple more seasons at least to force his way in.

Barca have 2 wonderkids who are very similar in Dos Santos and Bojan with Bojan the better one IMO so they felt it was ok to off load Dos Santos.

Can anyone think of a Dos Santos type player in the EPL?

Maybe Joe Cole the closest to it. I think maybe not this season but the following most definately he is going to be a revelation.

Bit lightweight at the minute but he has some left foot on him.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

David Bentley,Alot of people might question the transfer fee,but im hoping he will prove hes worth while hes at Spurs, and should he choose to move to a bigger club later then at least hell be worth at least the fee we paid for him.Right now hes better than what we have, chuffed to bits with this one more than any of the others.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

Another player with great potential and a sound investment, Better prosepct than Beckham at that age too I'd say because aswell as having a sweet right foot , he also likes to take people on and can dribble past defenders.
Good catch there Basher and GL with the new season, should be quite an intersting first couple of months with all the comings and goings at the moment, especially at Blackburn should Santa Cruz also go as Ince will have a big pot of cash with nobody to buy, should be a good test of his managerial skills as to who if anybody he brings in and how they fair having lost most of there key players.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

I can't let this thread exist without adding my usual outpourings of hatred and vitriol to the useless fucking bag of shit that is Michael Dawson.

Why have they still got him? Are League 1 teams reallly that reluctant to spend their money this year?

Re: Welcome To Spurs

I hope we strike lucky with JO as its a lot of cash to part with for somebody who was virtually unknown less than 12 months ago, watched him in his first City game 2 weeks ago against Streymour and allthough he didnt do very much his first touch looked pretty good and he did seem to hold the ball up well which is what we'set ve been missing for yrs, so heres hoping.

i wouldent be to upset about missing out on Arshavin as no doubt silly money will be wanted and by the time he's got used to the pace and physical aspect of the Prem his career will be nearly over, one good Euro championship at the age of 28 does not bode well imo, not for the sort of cash he was asking Chelsea for anyhow a few weeks back.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

How is Alan Hutton doing? I know he cost a few bob and although I thought he was a very good player.... hmmm. Not really in the multi-millions bracket. I'm still laughing at Craig Gordon and Sunderland. Hahaha. See?

Re: Welcome To Spurs

If he's a Premiership standard player Kop, I'll dig my gran up and get her a pair of boots. I'm absolutely amazed that a club who expect to finish in the top six are actually keeping him.

He makes far too many mistakes and seems to be responsible for half the goals to opposition score while he's on the field. Don't take my word for it, watch the cunt. He's been playing years now and he still has no sense of position. What he needs if he's going to stay is a class defender alongside him, directing him. I've never seen the ball bounce over the head of any other Premiership player the way it does when he misjudges it. I have my suspicions that he's actually been blind since birth.

Re: Welcome To Spurs

I am with ODM here and think Dawson is one of the worst defenders i hve seen in the Premiership in a long time.

Give him his credit though, he is consistant. Consistantly shit and consistantly making error after error. Has there ever been a defender who's side hve conceded so many goals from one players mistakes?
