Re: GLORY GLORY

Well , one good thing , it seemed to be trouble free , with regards to the fans.

I pity the guy who eventually takes over from Fergie ,he`s gonna have his work cut out..

In fact I feel quite sorry for Terry, what a terrible moment for him. And noone can blame him on anything, just a moment of bad luck.

Re: GLORY GLORY

they are all going on about droghba not being there to take a penalty, the fact is wild horses would not have got the ball off terry for that penalty, him and his ego strode up to win the cup, the rest they say is history, did anybody see the banner the chelsea fans had that said scouse free zone, i thought afu will be putting his foot through his telly rite now, if he was watching.

Re: GLORY GLORY

Its not sour grapes here but I'd say Fergie has under achieved in Europe tell the truth with only two Champs leagues in 20 yrs and both lucky ones at that, domestically I cannot find any faults with him but when u look @ the likes of Paisley and Shankley and even Clough for that matter he cannot touch them on the Euro scale unless he scoops the CL for the next couple of yrs and bear in mind in those days it was only the league winners who entered the comp in those days so in effect he has only won one.

If it wasent the constant Premiership titles then Fergie would have been out of a job yrs ago and even b4 now if he managed on the continent as the CL seems to be all that matters. Was a lucky break in the FA CUP against Forrest that changed his fortunes otherwise it would have been a completey different story but good luck to the old fella as he'll go down in folklore now in Manchester history and probably never surpassed even overtaking Busby but he deserves it.

The arrrival of Carlos Quiros seems to have taken a huge burden of Ferguson and for once he seems to be enjoying the job he does as he now has a structure second to none in place around him and it shows in his interviews as I've never seen him look so stress free and relaxed which should serve him well for a few more yrs to come yet, it these yrs i begrudge to say we'll see the best of Fergie and bag him a couple more Champs leagues in a short space of time, then we can say we have seen the best manager ever.

Re: GLORY GLORY

how can he not touch clough are you forgetting the 2,cup winners cups he won, people in england tend to forget about what he done with aberdeen, i don't think clough and paisley together could have done what he done with aberdeen.

To be honest Tom, I think you're underestimating just how shit Forest were when he took charge of them.

I reckon that what he accomplished with Forest is probably one of the greatest football managerial accomplishments on the entire planet, not just here.

And I hate the cunts but credit where it's due.
