Gangsta Keeks - wtf is that name about?

Think that was part of the David Frost interview wasn't it???

Fergie and most other United employees were all fairly vocal before the Glazers took control that the club should not be sold to them. Despite that, it happened.

I guess he's now in a position where he can't be seen to continue that stance. Frost put Fergie on the spot and asked him what he thought about the Glazers and their reign so far. Can't exactly call your bosses a bunch of cnuts on tv can you! He can only say something positive. Whether he means it or not though, who knows?

From his point of view, he's got another 2-3 years left, the Glazers have backed him with transfer cash and he's just wrapped up the PL and Champs League. Life couldn't be better so if anything is pissing him off, I'm sure he'll just ignore it and go for the easy option. Diplomacy and all that.

Don't ask about the name - one night with weed

Yeah i see where your coming from.

So say Ronaldo leaves where does that leave United?

I would think they would then go for maybe someone like Messi? Only player in the world who could replace Ronaldo for me and possibly even be a better player for the club, thats how highly i rate him.

Re: Ronaldo speaks - I'm off to Madrid

united never seem to go for those types of players do they. barca are one of the handful of clubs around the world who could say no to united forever, when they sold the proper ronaldo years ago it was a similar situation to uniteds ronaldo wanting away, its only the players at the very top level who can pick where they play so itd be upto messi himself to be pissed off at barcelona.

also agree he is better, only because hes a bit like drogba in my eyes, a real big game performer for a forward. uniteds strong team carries them through when rooney or ronny go missing, whereas its messi and drogba who lead the line in the huge games for their teams. not saying the united boys arent match winners but they aint leaders and cant always be relied upon

Re: Ronaldo speaks - I'm off to Madrid

united will live without Ronaldo and if they get anywhere near the amount of cash being speculated at the moment then they will i expect take their hands off.

He's a Luxury player and thats it, he'll do well in any team when there backs are up and doing well, shove him a side that is struggling and you won't see him.

I'm a Blue but United will live without him as most of his teammates are doing the donkey work for him, if Rooney went then that would be a different story as he works his socks off and with no Ronaldo on the pitch he always pops up to fill in for him.

Ronaldo's had a great season but you'll only see him playing well when the team is , he's not a player that can grab a game by the scruff of the neck when the going gets tough. basically he's a mard arse.

As Kiko mentions Messi is the best player in the world at the moment and even proved that point on Ronaldo's own turf a couple of months ago when he dominated the match albeit Barcelona getting beat.

End of the day if the current rumours are true then Ronaldo has shit a brick as Fergie doesnt suffer fools lightly and he's the last fella he would want to upset, he'll get a kings ransom for the player and invest whats left in areas where he's lacking like right back, Striker and replacing Scholes, Nani has learnt enough off Ronaldo to fill his boots for a few yrs to come whilst Rooney will starts scoring again as the chances become more frequent without Ronaldo.

Ronlado will be missed but so was Beckham, Horses head and Kanchelskis but they soon got replaced without much of a kuffufle as under Fergie they play as a team and are not a one man show.

Re: Ronaldo speaks - I'm off to Madrid

Ronaldo has allegedly been offered £300k a week, tax free to play for Real Madrid. Now that's worth £540k a week gross in this country.

Who can blame the lad really? He's 23 and some club is offering him the best part of £25m a year before tax and some people are suprised that this is testing his loyalty? Get real people.

Football is a game. Players are commodoties. Money talks.

If United get offered anywhere close to £75m (as stated in todays papers) for this lad then they should take it - no questions asked. There's no way one single player is worth that amount of money, no matter how talented.

Re: Ronaldo speaks - I'm off to Madrid

Agree AFU that £75m is a crazy amount of money and my head says take it. However, my heart says different. And that's the issue for me.

However, until there's substance behind this and not just paper-talk and obscure internet 'interviews' to go on, it's a load of twaddle. I can't see any club being able to afford to pay that transfer fee and salary.

Over the years with our star players, we've been here before with Robson, Keane, Giggs, Becks, RVN, etc, etc being offered all sorts of shite in the papers. A lot of it turned out to be bollox and those that did move, went for a lot less in transfer fee and salary than that quoted in the press. And more importantly, because Utd wanted them to go.

If Ronny wants to go, let him go. And yes, I will be very disappointed. However, how deep should his loyalty be? He's not Giggsy or Scholesy defecting to one of our competitors is he. Gerrard wouldn't play for us if we offered him £300k per week. That would be a betrayal of loyalty.
