Re: Scolari new Chelski boss

No suprise really i suppose, he has the makings of a good club manager but the proof will be in the pudding, saying that you could put Frank Spencer in charge of the Chelsea squad and he would do well.

Ronaldo to Chelsea now maybe? would love to see that happen

Re: Scolari new Chelski boss

I love Scolari.

Think he will come across very similar to Mourinho infact but not such with the arrogance.

Be interesting to see how he shapes the team. Formation will suit him to a tee as it is what he plays for Portugal but which players he requires and wants to keep will be interesting.

Deco is an absolute certainty to go to Chelsea now i think and what a signing he will be. Came onto a game for Barca towards the end of the season and has done superbly well for Portugal in their 2 games so far.

Unsure of his club management record but i think he will do good.

Money talks mate, he's going to fill his boots. Whether or not he really sincerely fancies a job in this country, I'm sure £100k+ a week will be enough to tempt anyone.

It sounds daft, but besides winning a world cup, he hasnt really done "that much" in the game - here's the clubs he has managed:
CSA
Juventude
Brasil de Pelotas
Al-Shabab
Brasil de Pelotas
Juventude
Grêmio
Goiás
Al Qadisiya
Kuwait
Criciúma
Al-Ahli
Al Qadisiya
Grêmio
Júbilo Iwata
Palmeiras
Cruzeiro

He's won the top league in Brazil and a couple of copa libertadores - apart from that...

Re: Scolari new Chelski boss

Its all well looking at his whole management success, or lack of it.

But when you look at his last 6 yrs in management he has done superb. Won the World Cup in 2002 with Brazil. Final of the Euros last time around and the semi's of the last World Cup.

Thats pretty damn impressive to me and not many International managers can get anywhere near that.

I like him alot. He is a very funny guy in interviews. The best one was him saying about how he can't wait to get home and dance with his wife and see how far his mood can take him with her

Oh, shut the fuck up if you're so completely clueless about football.

He's won (amongst other things) the equivalent of 2 Champions' Leagues and a World Cup. And that WC win was after totally sorting out a Brazil squad who were even struggling to qualify. How did your Liverpool do against the Copa Libertadores winners? Indeed.

Again, Clueless.

South American teams take the world club championship more seriously than their European Counterparts. Its a non-trophy for the Europeans, they feel they have nothing to prove...

Its like the charity shield or the super cup FFS
