Lampard Signs For Inter Milan

Only France Football are reporting this at the minute but they are usually a reliable source for breaking news.

Think this is a good bit of business for both sides. Lampard grew a bit stale at Chelsea last season and a move to Italy could really improve him as a player.

Definately can improve.

Everytime you see an English player go abroad to play, when they return they always say how they improved immensely due to many things. Technically he should improve a lot more.

I doubt he'd improve any too at his age and the only reason i can see him moving there is Mourinhio and a fat pay day b4 he retires, not that he was on peanuts at Chelsea mind.

I have a feeling though that if it is true Inter could well have spent that sort of money more wisely as no way is Lampard worth 7 or 8 million euro's a yr if the quotes are correct.

But will he score as many goals? It's goals that count, i dont think anybody has scored as many from midfield as he has done. I bet his goals per game ratio goes down.

I think even i would score as many goals in that Chelsea side as he does Kop, its the sitters he usually misses that would concern me more as he's not going to get nowhere near the amount chances anywhere else as he does at Chelsea.

What makes you think this?

Inter play a far more attacking formation than Chelsea ever have done with Lampard there. Inter are also a far more dominant side domestically than Chelsea have been with Lampard which would point to more goalscoring chances coming along.

I think he will score more with the only short coming for him would be he no longer is on penalty duty.

Frank Lampard quits Chelsea for Inter Milan - Football News - Telegraph

Telegraph picked up on it now.

Wikipedia also has it changed and they are quoting 9m euros for him? Surely not.

He's a bloody cockanee though isnt he, regular trips back to London, there for the packet and only playing half the games he would of done at Chelsea. He's gone there for the easy life imo, he'll pick his games to suit. Watch him be brilliant 3 or 4 weeks before a national game and then not play for inter due to a strain or a broken metatarsal for four or five weeks after.
