Football Role Models

Last night at work i was having an arguement with a guy that works there. His arguement was that Beckham is the perfect role model for kids. I just dont see this at all - maybe 5 years ago yes i would agree, but now all you see with him is scandal these days.

A top football role model for me is Alan Shearer. This guy is as good as they come - when do you EVER see anything bad mentioned about him? Model Professional in my eyes. I also think Owen is quite a good one aswell.

Re: Football Role Models

Kiko - agreed about Shearer. Never hear anything in the press about him being disloyal, looking for a move away, getting involved in fights, going to brothels and shagging his granny, taking king charles or anything else. He's a good lad.

Beckham is hardly the ideal family man, but I suppose he is a dedicated pro and trains hard to stay at the level he is at. Owen is a Mr Nice Guy too - housewife's favourite since Becks shagged the pig wanker like...
