Today was supposed to be the start of a new season, a new era.

The respect campaign started today did it not? Respect the officials and your fellow professionals. Well obviously no one told Tevez and no one told the ref that this is a sending off offence either:

Spurs finished top of the fair play league,that was due to the fact of the way their players and management behaved and conducted themselves towards opposing teams and the officals of the match.

I particularly liked the way Michael Dawson stuck to the principe of fair play by making sure he never actually made contact with an opponent (or the ball) throughout all the games he played.

Funny isnt it - some players are branded by the press and hounded for every mistake they make. Whereas others, like Dawson, seem to move through their careers pretty much untroubled by the hacks on Fleet Street.
