Robson sacked

Old captain cockout has been given the heave ho

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...on/5355924.stm

West Bromwich Albion have parted company with manager Bryan Robson "by mutual consent".

The former Middlesbrough manager took control of the club in November 2004 following Gary Megson's departure.

Club chairman Jeremy Peace said: "In view of the results since early 2006, it's been decided a change is necessary if the club is to achieve its aims." Robson responded: "I've really enjoyed the short time I've been at Albion. The fans here have been different class."

West Brom are currently ninth in the Championship having won three of their matches, lost two and drawn three this season

Seems a bit strange this early in the season....

Re: Robson sacked

Weeeell as you're pushing me for a response Muze I'd have to say he's just one of the ex-players who have been spoiled to fuckin death (by success and otherwise) at Old Trafford and came into management expecting it to be a piece of piss. Their attitude typified by Robson not bothering to take his Boro side to a game cos he didn't fancy playing with a few players short. Problem was that the twat forgot that he wasn't actually Man United manager and therefore couldn't get away with doing whatever the fuck he liked and dictating to the F.A and everyone else who worked for them (including referees and assistants) so the cunt got his arse kicked.

Some fuckin excellent players but not one of them have a decent managerial record between them (and don't give me the Gordon Strachan bollox, I'm talking about in a decent competitive league).

Robson, Bruce, Hughes, Brian Fuckin Kidd Now Brian Kidd was funny. Everyone going on about how influencial he was behind the scenes at United and how he was potentially a future England Manager even before he'd managed a team. Fuckin useless -though I see he's licked his wounds and is crawling back into the game through the back door again.

Brian Kidd and David Platt are the funniest non-managers I've ever seen in my life so far I think.

Anyway. Erm.

In fact I'd back Nigel Clough to win a Premiership Title before any of those cunts.

Re: Robson sacked

For what its worth I think he managed them for too long as well. Im no West Brom expert but I seen them in the Prem. They stayed up 1 year on the last day, fair dos, job well done and it was a joyous occasion for the Brom fans. But to then go down AFTER staying up in your first year, it is clear that you dont have what it takes really to cut it in the top flight as no improvement was made whatsoever, infact as they went down obviously its an awful drop in results.

So tbh I think he was lucky not to be sacked in the summer and he was always going to get the boot if they didnt start the season absolutely storming norman.

Im not saying any manager who manages a relegated side should get the boot though. For instance the Watford manager this season, he would never deserve to get sacked as they exceeded all expectation in gaining promotion last year and his squad in all honesty shouldnt be good enough to survive.

p.s what do you think to Roy Keanes start then ODM

Re: Robson sacked

I think it was to be expected. If you're asking me if he'll get them promoted, then No.

Sixth place and glorious defeat in the play off is my prediction.

He hasn't actually been there long enough to put his own imprint on the club yet but, like most other people, I doubt he's mentally stable enough for the world of football management.

Ok while things are going well.
