Spot the penalty

Mentioned this in the live score thread yesterday, now got a picture of it. This is from Almeria v Cadiz yesterday in the Spanish Second division.



The linesman spots something in that little group of players outside the box. There's not a single player (apart from the keeper, obviously) inside the box. Decision? Red card to one of the Almeria players (in the red and white, not that you can see the colours very clearly), and penalty to Cadiz. It's not even a borderline decision, is it? Luckily although Cadiz scored the penalty it didn't prove too costly for Almeria as they still won 2-1.

It's even further out than it looks on the picture above, as the players were running towards goal, and by the time that picture was taken, the ref had already blown for the foul.

Really can't see what there was to send him off for either - Cadiz player comes running in from the right wing, grabs hold of the defender, and the defender tries to shake him off, that was all there was to it . At the very very most a booking for each player, but nothing more than that.

Thats an absolute shocker of a decision.

Being serious too when i say this but that linesman had to have had a big chunk of cash on Cadiz in this game or something.

The linesman was supposed to be running the line tonight in the Copa del Rey match between Numancia and Poli Ejido, but he's decided there'd be too much attention on him, and has asked the FA to replace him.
