I was watching that earlier today - thought the doh a deer bit was a joke until I heard it

Re: Scotland This Week

You are playing a lot better, well not so much a lot better but playing as a team and working for one another and actually passing the ball instead of panicking @ the back and hoofing it.
I'm not a great Fletcher fan but playing for the rags seems to have given him a confidence @ International level he does not even produce for United, maybe he thinks he's a big fish in a small pool but he's thriving on it and proving a great outlet for the back 4 as he's constantly looking for the ball and looking confident on it.

Ferguson is a player i've always liked allthough he didnt cut it at Blackburn, he's a player who seemed unsure in the Prem but knows he's a better player than Fletcher and now thinking if he can do it then so can I and this confidence passes through the team.

Miller and Boyd will be missed but McFadden is gaining confidence game by game for his country and who knows with a sell out and passionate crowd behind the team anything could happen.

I really hope the home countrys do well.

Re: Scotland This Week

Nice one slick - you're dead right about Fletch...something happens to him when he pulls the navy blue on and he's absolutely everywhere. Ferguson isn't fit but I do think we need him tomorrow...he played a few lovely passes for Rangers at the weekend and he only needs to do that once to give Faddy a sniff.

Miller will be a big loss given his recent international record...Boyd could play a part late on but its not really a game suited to him.

Players like McCulloch and Hartley are going to be vital in having to do defensive jobs but also support the man up front, while the defence will all have to be heroes for 90 mins again.

Failing that, Craig Gordon will just grow however much he has to and get in the way of everything as per usual

I did like the Tennents ad in the papers today:

Re: Scotland This Week

Quite a formidable looking side we're putting out. Full of flair, pace and skill. Oops, I mean: Ehhhm, I am a bit fearful to be honest with that rather slooooow (and occasionally clueless) defence of ours but I guess the upset is possible. We just need to make sure we convert that one half chance we create. Oops, I mean, we'll batter them for 90 minutes. I'm turning into Gerry McNee ffs. I'm so miserable and bitter. I hope you all enjoy yourselves fellas and have plenty to cheer.

Re: Scotland This Week

Wow - who would've believed that ?

Many of us were saying we couldnt see Scotland getting anything and the gulf in class was massive. Also we had only beaten 2 poor sides.

Now we dont think we are world beaters but not many sides are going to fancy coming to Hampden are they.

Italy to draw tonight and it really is us in dreamland isn't it.

Did it the good old fashioned way too. Battling with little skill and quality and getting it right up the French and they didn't like it one bit.

Fair play to the defence - dont really remember seeing much of Henry in this game did we?

I always thought 1 point was the best here we could get. Was more confident of the Ukraine game especially with Miller being back.

Or maybe im crazy to think we could get something out there? :loon

Whatever happens - im going to have a fucking great time out in town tonight

Re: Scotland This Week

echo that ,absolutely brilliant resut for Scotland , after years of being shite they have suddenly woken up to the fact that a proper team , working hard together with a system they all understand can go far!

England still languish in the ' we have superstars who can win games for us' mentality

C'MON NORTHERN IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All credit to Macedonia who must be gutted they didn't win

Cheers Traeth - will do

Felt sorry for Wales. Maybe the best i have seen them play, especially in the first half and they just got hit by some poor defending and some freakish goals.

One of them days
