Schumacher the best F1 driver ever?

I used to hate the bigheaded arrogant bastard but have to say he's proved to be hell of a driver over the years.
Can remember him first starting off with Jordan then onto Benneton taking an average team from nowhere and handing them the F1 title for the very first time.

He's been a success ever since even tranforming Ferrari into winners again after yrs in the wilderness, he may have insisted that he was top man and had priorities every yr in his team but that procedure worked even though @ times teamates had to slow down and let him win.

I was a big Senna fan and its a big pity they never got to really slug it out, Shuey was just as dirty as him, as he was to Hill , Senna was to Prost. allthough Prost was 10 times the driver Hill ever was.

Still you can only take on whats put in front of you and Schumacher must go down as the best driver that ever took to the circuit.
There are plenty of arguments for and against , like safety , technology, tyres etc but his career record is second to none and he has become a legend.

Not only cos he beat what was put in front of him but the way he took teams in the doldrums (including Ferrari) and inspired them to championships.

What sums up his skill for me is when it's pissing it down with rain and the commentators are waffling on about aquaplaning and safety. The other fuckers are pussyfooting around like some 80 year old woman on a sunday driver in the country while Shuey is in the process of setting new lap records
