Rio Ferdinands Goal v Liverpool

Will try and post up a link later to the goal.

Watched it live on Sky today and I have to say, has there ever been a better all round goal scored by a defender as im pushed to think of one that i have seen anyways.

From the moment he spun off the defender to his first touch to set him up and what a finish to cap it all off

Never been a fan of Ferdinand but that was very classy.

Yes - His brother scored a better one than that earlier this season. Can't remember who against but it was a Sunday and Rio had scored himself on the previous day with a header in the last minute.

Now I must be going mad. Surely Rio Ferdinand cant have scored 2 goals in the same season :loon Whats become of the world

Richard Dunne scored from near the halfway line once that was pretty amazing. Especially as it was in his own net

Of course it was CG. I remember now as I was in the pub watching the Sunday match and I'd backed Rio for first goal. I was looking for a first goalscorer to back in the Monday game and someone jokingly suggested Anton.

I didn't take up his suggestion

That was the snapshot from Rio's brother wasn't it? If so yeah it was good but still not as good as todays imo.

Rio only scored 1 goal this season it said on Sky earlier too by the way.

Re: Rio Ferdinands Goal v Liverpool

Call me biased but i thought he was a stuffy cnut.
It bounced off his shoulder while he was looking towards the heavens so it didnt smack him in the face and it dropped nicely so he lashed out at it.

He is good with his feet and head mind and should get on the score sheet more often.
