Current table there and it makes for some bad reading for Geordies.

Ok injurys havent helped them one bit this season. Right now they have Given, Ameobi, Martins Owen to name a few out and that is a bad few to have out.

I never thought they would go down but after seeing their recent results and their coming fixtures it could just be the year that one of them sides 'too big to go down' get relegated.

They have NO out and out goalscorer at the minute and things arent going to change until January possibly where it could all be too late.

Roeder needs to go. Clueless manager imo and should never have got the job. Yes he did well to save them last season but that should have been it and they should have got in a talented manager for this season.

Too many errors and not enough fight for me from this side and the future doesn't look too bleak at the minute.

The UEFA cup could actually be a bad thing for them too i believe.

Whats everyone think? Can they survive?

Re: Newcastle In The Shit

They're the same overrated piece of shit that they've always been to be honest.

They might win a couple of 2nd division (CC Championship) titles and the odd Cup competition but they're garbage and I can only remember one instanc of them actually getting anywhere near winning the title.

It backs up what was said in the "Sleeping Giants" thread. Loads of loyal fans doesn't equate to a decent team.

They're shit and they're just beginning to know they are.

No it isn't. They can sack as many managers as they like but they still end up being shit.

They have ideas above their station and a top ten finish in the Prem should be the limit of their ambitions.

Been on the radio that there has been a huge protest against the board outside the ground tonight, bit late for my first and last ever bet on the magpies though

Am positive i read today that attendances are falling.

I do think they could go somewhere under the guidance of a quality manager. When you look at their managers down the years they have never had one who i could say is a true class manager.

The moneys there, just th tactics not

Bunch of arrogant bastards - couldn't happen to a nicer club

I reckon if you did a survey of their fans at this moment, asking them where they think they'll finish in the league - at least half of them would say (in all seriousness) "top 6"

Re: Newcastle In The Shit

What a lovely win tonight..The Blades were deserved winners..

Newcastle are a shite team though..They really seem like they don't want to play for their manager, and I must admit that Roeder just comes across like a wet fish..How can anyone be motivated playing under him..??

Re: Newcastle In The Shit

Same thing happened to Leeds not so long ago only difference being @ least leeds got a run for their money and money back for some of the players they invested in like Ferdinhand, same cannot be said for Newcastle as all their players are pretty average but on top money.
Injurys may have played a part in the grand scheme of things but they have paid top dollar for players still in the team that are just not producing.

It basically comes down to bad management that have just frittered away Shepherds millions.

To many bad managerial appointments have screwed up the club.

Re: Newcastle In The Shit

I totally agree Slick.

They had (have?) the money. They have the supporters. They have a decent ground.

It's all about the (bad) managers they have appointed.
