The Premiership - relegation places so tight?

I was just viewing the Premiership table and was wondering more about who was going down then who might win the title (although that looks like being a close run thing this season too).

I was looking at all the teams and I was making a case for all of them to avoid relegation. Normally there is one or maybe even two dead certs to get relegated (take Sunderland last year for example) but this year I really think it's going to be a close run thing.

I have been impressed with all the three promoted sides. They have some fight about them and that ability to get stuck in is giving them more than a fighting chance especially as lots of established teams have problems of their own.

Who would you guess is going to go down? I couldn't even begin to try and work it out.

Re: The Premiership - relegation places so tight?

I think in the end what it will come down will be team squads.

The 3 who came up have done very well so far but the more tougher the schedule gets and the more injurys they have then its going to be more difficult.

Also financially. I mean if Newcastle are in really bad ways come January im certain we will see them splash out tens of millions to try to save their status whereas the 3 who came up wont be able to do this.

For me though they have all been a breathe of fresh air, more so Watford and Reading than Sheff Utd. Reason being is how many times have we seen newly promoted sides come up and play defensive week in week out?

Here we have teams who look to play attacking football and make a real go of their games and you cant have nothing but respect for that.

I def think Sheffield United will go down. Big chances of a big side going down too though.

Going to be interesting thats for sure.

Re: The Premiership - relegation places so tight?

Charlton have to be in trouble for me, & despite Fulham being currently in the top half I dont think they'll be far away. Coleman is learning all the time mind you so that gives them an edge over both Charlton & Boro for me as I'm not sure either manager has what it takes.
Newcastle would be in the same boat but I think the players will dig them out although the quicker they get rid of Shepherd the better.
Of the 3 promoted sides I think I'd have to say Watford look the weakest so I'm going for Watford, Charlton &...........Boro or Man City

Cant see where Man Citys goals are coming from
