Pardew Sacked

Quote:
Alan Pardew has been sacked as manager of West Ham.

The Hammers are in 18th place in the Premiership following a run of three straight defeats culminating in Saturday's 4-0 thrashing at Bolton.

"Alan has made an important contribution since joining in September 2003 but this season's results have been disappointing," said a statement.

"Chairman Eggert Magnusson and the board feel it is the right time to make a change in the club's best interests." The statement continued: "The search for a successor is now under way in order that a new manager can be in place ahead of the January transfer window.

Re: Pardew Sacked

Once Limp Bizkit took over, Pardew looked doomed. New owners usually come into the club with new ideas and a new business plan dont they.

To be fair, recently West Ham have played some dreadful football and look like genuine relegation contendors. A lot of it has been out of his hands (Tevez, Mascherano affair) and of course he was unlucky to lose Dean Ashton.

But, he is the boss and results are his business at the end of the day.

No suprise really. time for a change me thinks. Pardews gone into total whinge mode which never bodes well. He nearly got sacked a while back didnt he as well but then they had a good season so fair play.

Re: Pardew Sacked

Im sure the Hammers fans will have a soft spot for them as he has done well with this but this was just a season too many.

They havent been getting results for some time now and things dont look like changing so definately time for a change.

Re: Pardew Sacked

It all makes perfect sense for the new owners really. I have some sympathy for AP but let's face it, the league table doesn't lie does it, so it makes sense to get him fucked off and get someone in in time to spend some dosh in the January transfer window.

Personally I hope Sven gets the job so that we can see how good he really is.

Wonder if he'll bring Golden Balls back to his roots

Re: Pardew Sacked

Curbs will get the job. He's an old West HAm boy and he supports them too.

I feel sorry for Pardew but I'll be honest and say I think they were lucky last season. Any team with a front pairing of Harewood and Zamora will always struggle in the Premiership as neither belong at that level.

And DON'T give me any pish about Harewoods record last season. We had him at Forest and whilst he's a game lad he'll miss 10 before he scores 1.

Re: Pardew Sacked

Seemed a decent fellow to me who was just being used as a puppet by the board, players coming in without his consent and no doubt being told to play them.
Ashton being out injured also didnt help but i have a feeling he won't be out of work for long and will probabay drop back into the Championship and do a good job for a team down there.

Re: Pardew Sacked

Curbishly will turn them into the mid table mediocrity that was Charlton.

The sort of position that shit teams like Forest and Derby aspire to but it's only going to be a crumb of comfort (geddit ) to the new WHU owners.

If, as they say, the are after worldwide recognition then appointing some boring cunt like Curbishly is hardly going to achieve it is it. Whereas appointing Svenis would.

I've heard rumours that Sven's agent has said he's not interested which, quite frankly, leaves me baffled.

Re: Pardew Sacked

I can't really see Curbs going there either, with the takeover and the Argies arriving in the summer it has 'foreign' manager written all over it or should i say continental.

Re: Pardew Sacked

Seems as if Curbs is a shoe-in for this one..... if this morning's papers are to be believed anyhow.

Brilliant manager IMO - the best English manager around. I well recommend his autobiography.

Lets hope charlton go down and go bust.

Long live the Curbs.
