Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

I am chuffed to bits with the draw I really am.

I think we will do them and the world will see how good Ronaldinho really is. Lucas Neill will have him in his pocket

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Decent-ish draw for Celtic based on Milans current form. Having said that, its a few months til February and Milan could be a much changed side come the Jan transfer window.

Whoever we pulled was going to be hard when you looked at the seeds, its was just a case of how bad can it get ie Chelsea or Lyon were my two to avoid. Will probably mean an exit at this stage but if Milan are still in the trough they are now then there is a small chance.

Barca v Pool the tie of the round though. It ain't great winning your group and then pulling the holders.

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Pile of shite that draw aint it.

Barcelona vs Chelsea
Arsneal vs Real Madrid

Last year and a few other mouth watering ones.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid home and away was class last year, the second leg one of the best games ive ever seen.

Liverpool vs Barcelona the pick of the bunch!

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Trust United to get a stuffy bloody draw eh. Typical.

Anyway, we will beat them and we will win the competition.... We did it the hard way in 2005 (Leverkusen, Juve, Chelsea, AC) and we can do it again.

Barca, Real, United and Chelsea in the final. That will do me...

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Not sure it's such an easy draw for Man United - don't forget they were in the same group as Lille last season, drew 0-0 at home and lost 1-0 away. They're in better form this season, but I don't think Lille are a complete pushover.

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Yeah no draw is easy Rc but if you were picking em from that list, Lille would be one youd want.

Very very good draws for all the English clubs in terms of progressing bar Liverpool but itll be great viewing no doubt that one

Liverpool v Barcelona
Real v Bayern
Celtic v Ac Milan

Those are the intriguing ties for me

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Bar the Liverpool game (And AFU, you really are in need of removing them Liverpool glasses you see through ) i think this is as good a draw for all the British clubs with them getting the weaker teams from their choices.

Im absolutely delighted with the Celtic draw. Said to Jesus they are the team i would rather have at the minute.

My worry with Celtic is that they always seem to get teams with an abundance of pace and they just cant cope with it so with an ageing Milan side playing not so well they are there for the taking and Celtic really do have a chance of a big scalp if they get a couple new players in and Strachan gets his tactics spot on.

Re: Champions' League Last 16 Draw

Great draw IMO. You don't want all the giants meeting early, save that for the QF, SF and Final.

Chelsea play Porto - Jose Mourinho going back for the first time?
Real v Bayern - two past winners past their recent peaks.
Liverpool v Barcelona - no match on paper (don't even try to argue that Liverpool are anywhere near as good as Barca) but Liverpool can pull off shocks in this compettion
Celtic v AC Milan - potential upset again
Roma v Lyon - worst of the ties, Lyon should go through
Inter v Valencia - not particularly interesting to me personally, but still a big tie.
PSV v Arsenal - Dutch team v Arsenal, could be total football
Lille v Man Utd - Lille showed they can upset United last year

Ideally, IMO, welll see Chelsea, Real, Barca, Celtic, Lyon, Inter, Arsenal and Man United in the next round. (I'm sure it will take all of 33 seconds for a Liverpool fan to complain about my post).

You are entitled to your view mate, even if I disagree.

We will win. i spent last night working out rafa's tactics for him and I am willing to have a word in his ear if he needs it. We can beat these twats no problem.

They will look at us today and be papping themselves. If Ronaldinho had scored Gerrard's goal today, all the part time Barca fans would have been coming in their pants. We will win. They fear us.

I'm not saying Liverpool can't win kop, but on paper Barca's team is stronger (and arguably the strongest club team in the world). If you disagree you really are deluded.
