Arsenal ban National Flags....

Mad as funk this, Arsenal have banned national flags because they cause offence and they have had complaints...???? Eh? Just who would complain about a flag at a football match?

"Arsenal have asked supporters not to bring national flags to matches at the Emirates Stadium.
The move comes after some fans have been upset at the waving of certain countries' colours.

"Arsenal as a club prides itself on being inclusive with respect to all nationalities, cultural and ethnic groups," read a club statement.

"We are asking that only Arsenal flags, without any national emblems, are displayed within the stadium."

The statement added: "We will be implementing this policy with immediate effect."

Re: Arsenal ban National Flags....

Crazy business that. My own opinion is that when you are at the match you support your team. No flags that denote national identity. It is about the team and not that fact that you come from Ireland, Sweden or anywhere else. I fucking hate poxy George Crosses with "Penzance Gooners".."Forest Hall Mags" and "Essex Reds" on.

Poxy little flags like that make people look like tossers. If you want to do a banner, then have some imagination. National flags have no place at domestic league games. Its about the team you support and the fact that you come from England or anywhere else has nothing to do with it.

having said that, I wouldnt ban them if some sad tosser wants to bring one....

We've had a few national flags down at Bromley over the years - nothing to do with where the fans come from, just supporting our international players. Sierra Leone and Morrocan flags are the ones I remember. I like it.

Add me to the list of Arsenal haters on the strength of this alone. CUNTS.
