English Sports On The Decline?

Anyways after seeing the way England have been humped in the cricket its made me think through all the other sports and what exactly is going wrong and how much they are falling away.

Cricket - Ashes winners then on for a potential whitewash

Rugby - World Cup winners now on an embarrasing run getting beat by so called smaller nations

Football - bags of potential but just not delivering

Tennis - Henmans always been a potential winner but never quite made it. Now he is nearing the end of his career is there anyone to step in?

Where has it actually all gone wrong?

The heads of the sporting bodies, the managers etc etc?

Just a lot of countries arent there, so its hard to be the best I guess. It goes in cycles as you see with the Cricket and Rugby there (neither of which I give 2 shits about personally).

These things go around in circles Kiko and you'll find that in two years time when we have a half decent Euro tourney, win the rugby world cup and narrowly fail to win the ashes back that people are jumping on the bandwagon and saying that England are great.

ODM - Scotlands sports have always been bad. So bad they cant decline anymore

Could I just point out, AGAIN , that Tim Henman plays for himself Kiko, not England. I have never actually seen the results of the English tennis team so can you explain their decline to me??

And by the same light, please don't class the cock Murray as Scottish, he is a tennis player and we don't have a national tennis team so he doesn't play for "us".

Actually Crowie, Kiko is right about the decline of the English tennis team I reckon. I'm no tennis fan but every time I hear them mentioned they are slipping further down the rankings.
