Spot on Chris.
As you said, you saw him take Cannavaro apart in the CL, I saw Aberdeens Russell Anderson mark him out of the game when Scotland played Norway in Oslo.
He will have good/decent games and he will have howlers. I would suggest the bad games will out number the good ones.
And again as you say, if he is such an asset, such a top player, why does no one want to keep a hold of him. 64 league starts at Valencia in 4 seasons, 10 at Roma in a season, 25 in a season and a half at Lyon. All that says to me is "an option" but not good enough to claim a regular starting place.

Would disagree again Kiko. At Roma he was upfront with players like Totti, Montella & Cassano. At Valencia he had Aimar behind him and players like Vicente wide as well as Rufete, Mista, Sanchez plus quite a few more who could play up front with him.
He has never really, as far as I can remember, being played as a lone striker.
