Lampard - the fattest midfielder in the West (London)

I see chubby has been offered a new deal by chelsea and is mulling it over. I reckon Chelsea could be set for a fall here, I really do. If Mourinho gets the heave ho come the summer, I think we are facing a Stamford Bridge exodus.

For those that dont know, Mr Lampard can buy out his contract at the end of the year and move as a free agent to his next club. This would cost around £8million to do so and could see him leaving the club with Mourinho come May.

The longer this scenario drags on, the more likely he is to move in the summer I think. Chelsea have known for ages that the contract was due for renewal and this ruling has been around for a while too. If he isnt signing, thats an indication that something's wrong I think.

Lampard says his future is not tied to manager Jose Mourinho's

Frank Lampard says he is waiting on Chelsea to offer him a new deal.
The midfielder will have two years left on his contract in the summer and will be able to buy out the rest of his deal under Fifa rules.
The England international has already been linked with a move to Spain and the situation is likely to alert some of Europe's top clubs.
"It's down to the club to come to me with an offer, I'm waiting for that," said 28-year-old Lampard.
Lampard has already helped Chelsea to the Carling Cup and the club are still in the hunt for the Premiership, Champions League and FA Cup.
The player insists it is vital the Stamford Bridge outfit focus fully on achieving a possible quadruple of trophies as his contract situation reaches a crucial crossroads.
Lampard added: "There are a lot of things going on and we're at a stage of the season when it's important that the board and players concentrate on football." The player, who joined from West Ham for £11m in May 2001, insists his future is not dependent on whether manager Jose Mourinho stays with the club or not. "It has been said I'm waiting on Jose's future but the two issues are not tied."
