What sports teams does everyone support?

I support Derby County, and I was really upset when they lost yesterday. I like the Leicester Tigers as well, some of those rugby players have massive thighs. England of course in every sport as well.

WHo does everyone else support?

Re: What sports teams does everyone support?

Support is a bit too strong for me as I haven't been to football regularly in a long time. I did used to go along to Queens Park matches so like to look out for their results. I developed a soft for Brechin last year and hope they do well in Division 1 next year.

Re: What sports teams does everyone support?

I remember the battles Ayr and ICT used to have 3 or 4 seasons ago Brew. The bogey team talk was intense. I remember when ayr went 3 up at ht v you once and the fella on the radio was gining it the old break the hodoo talk. Of course true to form your lot came out and won 7-3 i think.

Liked Ayr as a kid as i was from neighbouring Kilmarnock and didnt want to support Kilmarnock nor the old firm as everyone else did. Had a look through Panini '76 sticker book to chose who i wanted to support and it was between Ayr, Forfar and tottenham as i liked the white strips. Decided on Ayr as it was just a bus ride away.

Tottenham however beat Bristol Rovers i think 10-1 in the old Division 2 and Hoddle was just 16 or something around the same time so i fell in love with them too and was lucky enough to remember the glory European years listening on my radio.

Kids are amazed when you mention Aberdeen and Dundee Utd were euro giants themselves. Always admired the Liverpool team 76-8?. think they were the best club side ever.

Watched tottenham a few games a season till i left school then would find myself going to the odd Brentford game as i was living in hounslow.

Last game i went to? bloody hell...errr prob a Killie game about 5yrs+ ago

Remember that game well, it was in the Scottish Cup and we ended up winning 4-3.The 7-3 game was in the league either a week or two before or after the cup game.Seems a while since ICT produced results akin to those.

I tend to be a neutral these days but I have to confess, Dundee Utd still hold a place in my heart.

Re: What sports teams does everyone support?

Celtic - but dont follow as much, became a fan due to my mother sadly being from down in them parts.

Teams i always keep an eye out for one thing or another are:

Newcastle, Derby (Best mates teams)
Aberdeen, Peterhead (local teams)
Morton (always like to know that when i back them they fuck up and when i dont they win!!)

Celtic for me too. Used to travel to games 5 or 6 times a season (from Belfast). Haven't been to a game since November 04. Lazy and skint. Make do with Sky.

Yeovil Town was my home town as a lad, so still count myself as a supporter of them...although not seen them play for awhile

More of a tv supporter these days i'm afraid to say..
