Sir Clive Woodward

Just been reading that there has been a rift in the board over Sir Clive Woodwards position at the club.

His appointment has always baffled me. Anyone actually tell me the reason he was brought in?

I read once he wants to become the first manager to win World Cups as manager in both rugby and football. Bit of a longshot this idea is myself.

Re: Sir Clive Woodward

Having listened to his interview last week, it seems like he wants to work in the background on the organisational side. He will take orders from the manager and academy director and just help where he can apparently.

Woodward is taking his coaching badges and wants to become a manager in time I think. All this came about because he is friends with Rupert Lowe, but it does seem a little bizarre. He is obviously a determined bloke who likes to succeed at everything he does, but I certainly can't ever see him being England manager

He won't - read Kiko's post again - "he wants to become the first manager to win World Cups as manager in both rugby and football"

Did I miss something Dave? I don't get that at all

I merely said I didn't think he would ever become manager of England. Kiko said it was a longshot, and for once I was pretty much agreeing.

Where did I make a mistake in all of that? Or am I too stupid to notice?

Well that's what I thought it might be, but then I thought surely not

As for Kiko's comment, well I think he totally missed the point even more than I did

There's always one person who tries to stir things up, and strangely enough on this forum, it's usually the same person
