Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I see that Blackburn have sealed the deal for that Dutch under 21's player, Marco Rigters. Did ok in the recent tournament and was wanted by Newcastle and rangers apparently.

Wasnt a bad goal he scored against us:

YouTube - Maceo Rigters scores a superb bicycle kick like Abu Treka

That's one for the Jocks to watch again and again and again and again.

He was thought to be on his way to Celtic, apparently it was between us and Norwich for him earlier today. Obviously got lost on the way to Glasgow and ended up in Blackburn. I am not that fussed about missing him to be honest.

Will be a decent deal for Blackburn in that he is only costing about £400k apparently but for a striker, in the goal heavy Dutch league, he ain't exactly banging them in - 5 in 62 appearances.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I heard he was unhappy at being played out of position so i presume he was not being played as a striker, he must have been decent enough to have been called into the holland u21 squad anyway.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Interesting developments on the transfer front. If West Ham are prepared to pay anywhere near our asking price of £10m for Bellamy, then they're fucking crackers IMO. Still, I am sure we wont refuse their money like.

Will be a shame to see Cisse leave, I am positive he will be a hit at his next club, bar another horriffic injury, the likes of which have blighted his time in Liverpool. Probably spent more time in plaster than he did on the pitch. Anyway, £10m would be a tremendous deal for us if thats what he goes for.

I hear today we are in talks with Ricardo Quaresma. The poor man's Ronaldo... Some of the vids I have seen on You Tube of this bloke are just sensational. I have really rated him for a couple of years now. Whether he can deliver at Premiership / Champions League level remains to be seen. But I think he is definitely the sort of player we should be after.

Mancini I am not so keen on. Mainly because he plays on the right and our more immediate concern is a left winger. Still not a bad player though.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

That Ashley bloke that just bought Newcastle, said they're due to make some "massive" signings in the near future. One of which will "shock the footballing world".

I am trying to think who exactly Newcastle could be in the hunt for. Me and my mate decided over a tab that they might be after Ronaldo, they have chased him before and he would fit the bill. Big name, over paid, over weight - ideal candidate for Newcastle United I think. They have been relatively quiet, compared to previous pre-seasons in anycase.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Cisse has today confirmed a move to Marseille. Shame I think that he didnt get the opportunity to do more. Rafa didnt like him and he wasnt his signing. Dogged by injuries and not trusted by the management. Still tried hard and bagged his fair share of goals, even when stuck out on the wing.

Good luck Jib.
