Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
You have to love the red tops dont you. Always speculating over transfer, fee's, deals to be done and the like. Just where do they source their information and how can the figures printed be SO different?
Something must have got lost in translation here methinks:
Quote:
|
West Ham striker Carlos Tevez has been ordered to start pre-season training with the club, despite agreeing a £60m deal to go to Man Utd. (Daily Mail)
|
Fair enough - £60m it is.... or maybe not
Quote:
|
However, it is understood the Hammers have given Tevez the green light to make his £38m switch. (The Sun)
|
Looks like the price is dropping, probably due to the strong performance of Sterling (£) aganst the US Dollar ($)
Quote:
|
Tevez, set for a £21m move in this paper, says he wants to become United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's star "pupil". (Daily Mirror)
|
Fuck me, the arse has dropped out of the market. Buy Buy Buy.
Quote:
|
Of course, perhaps Tevez is not going anywhere. (Daily Star)
|
? Bizarre ?

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Shit hot isnt he andee. He has all the tricks and does seem to have a bit of end product n'all, which is always the worry with his type.
Then again, I watched the hi-lights of today's games v Wrexham and Pennant put a good few crosses in too. Bez's finishing was top not as well.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
I wouldnt look into these videos too much as these are obviously his best parts of the season and dont include all the poor games he had.
Im not so encouraged by this signing, although if he does get to the level Ronaldo shows now i will be happy to admit i was wrong.
He was the main one when he was younger wasnt he. Tipped to reach the heights Ronaldo's at now but things went a bit stale for him.
His end product isn't as great as the videos would have you believe. From the games i seen of him, and there was easily double figures last season, he tried one trick too many and at times his showboating and greedyness would lead to attacks for Porto breaking down.
Also tended to go missing in games too, especially when things werent going his way and he spat the dummy out more times than not.
Very fiery temper too.
Like i say i hope he does turn out to be another Ronaldo as he is a joy to watch but from what ive seen of him he isn't anywhere near the class of Ronaldo.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Kiko - he has pace, he can dribble and he can centre or shoot. That's good enough for me. Our left side last season was nothing short of garbage and to be fair, has been duff for years. We need another Paddy Berger or someone that can make things happen, we lack a creative spark - I think we need someone unpredictable out wide to give us another dimension.

Liverpool have offered nearly £14m for Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma. (News of the World)
West Ham striker Carlos Tevez says his agents have told Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson he is joining the Premier League champions and the Argentine has insisted he is not changing his mind. (The People)
The Hammers have evicted Tevez from his luxury London apartment, despite claims that they want him to stay at the club. (News of the World)
New Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has ruled out making a move for Newcastle striker Michael Owen or signing midfielder David Beckham on loan from LA Galaxy, despite the duo being key players for the Swede when he was manager of England. (Sunday Mirror)
Eriksson is planning to swoop on neighbours Manchester United in a bid to land striker Alan Smith and midfielder Kieran Richardson. (The People)

Not much doing in today's rags. The story about Tevez made me laugh like.
I wonder if this deal will actually go through? Only United and Joorbachian the head of MSI say that the deal is done. West Ham say that Tevez isnt their's to sell and that they own his registration and do not want to sell.
Wonder if this is another arguement that will be settled in court?
If West Ham 'own' his registration, surely they could prevent him pulling on the red shirt for united, then you would either be looking at compensation or the case going to court.
Tevez - excellent player but far too much baggage.

Oooh looks like we're after a Japanese lad as well. Not sure if it's Nakamura or not - here's a video clip of the lad in action.
Seems to have good pace and an ability to hold off the opposition. Deffo worth whatever it takes to bring him to Liverpool.

I hope not, Smith has done nothing since leaving Leeds and i still say Kewell had a lot to do with his success there as they did seem to compliment one another, neither has done much since.
Richardson is just overated and got into the England setup because he's an English Man U player, his game is riddled with mistakes and he has an attitude to boot. Only rag player he should be considering is Heinze who could for the time being play left back and cover as full back if need be as Distins departure as left us short there. Allthough i'd much prefer Leighton Baines myself as he looks a cracking prospect for the future.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
I see Chelsea have signed Malouda now.
Much better signing than Quaresma imo and one Liverpool should have gone for.
He has all Quaresma has but more. He has the experience, especially big games. He scores more and will be a much better creator too.
Im guessing his arrival possibly means that Robben is about to go?
I actually think Chelsea have made some good signings. Their starting 11 last season was good enough to win the league. Their problem was when injuries happened they didnt have the depth.
They have more than made up for it this summer. Cover will come from the likes of Ben Haim, Sidwell, Pizarro etc. Much stronger squad this season and i can see them winning it this season.
