Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I would happen to agree Andee. I think Real, Juve, Liverpool and Newcastle are after him. He wants to go and United want to sell. As I understand it, Liverpool and the Toon have made an acceptable offer. United dont want to sell him to us and he doesnt want to move to Newcastle - so we are at an impasse.

If SAF needs to sell him to balance the books then he's coming to us. If he can hold on to him financially then he will do so, if only to spite Liverpool.

Cant see Juve or Real making an offer, surely they would have done so by now, given that he has said he wants away and United have said he is free to move.

Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is keen to land Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. (Daily Mirror)
I don't know whether to or

Although the boy is a cock he was a major part of Inter winning the title last season. So therefore I think its very unlikely Inter will punt him and also, considering his ego, he wouldn't be considering a move to Man City.

I think the Mirror journalist who wrote that should be drug tested.

Hey, Killer Killen will do a job for us this season. Our gain is Citys loss

Nah, come on Keema, you have to admit that Ibrahimovic is a bit far fetched. If he was up for sale I reckon most of the big clubs in Europe would have him. Nae disrespect to the City but I think he would have a few options before taking them.

Mind you, that boy Bianchi is the absolute dogs bollocks in FM2007. Wins everything in the air, loadsa goals.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

A couple of seasons ago I would give Ibrahimovic has been a hit and miss player, no consistancy. But he was excellent last season and a season or two more like that will see him considered a top top player.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Aye but you have to remember that Sven went in for Torres crowie , that tells me he has a damn site more money than 50million , else he wouldn't blow it on one player.
With him being a swede too it's not beyond the realm , he'd operate well with Dikov

if United pay £17m for Carrick then Hargreaves is there or thereabouts
If you honestly think Hargreaves is worth 17m then your the one talking drivel.

Im glad that Bianchi is good on fm2007 because they usually get things pretty accurate.

And yeah seems Sven has more money to spend that first imagined, Ibrahimovic is more plausible than the recent stories of Newcastle in for Ronaldinho!

Everything's relative.

I do think though that if United pay £17m for Carrick, then Hargreaves is worth roughly the same. Thats how it works Chris. Bear in mind that when we bought Alonso 3 years back, he cost us £12m - so what's the going rate now for an International class midfield player?

£17m seems about right to me. Oh and you might even say its a bargain, given that Carrick isnt fit to lace Hargreaves' boots IMO.

They have only spent £20m from what I can see. Consdering how many players they have been linked with then they must have buckets of cash left. Roque Cruz would be a good signing at £5.5m

True. Gordon is an excellent keeper and I can't see Hearts turning this down. although they are meant to have knocked back £8.5m for him already but they need a few more players IMO and blowing a large part of your budget on one player could be a mistake.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Aye Crowie. A mate of mine is a Jambo and he rates Gordon very highly. However with the deficiencies they have at the moment (sunderland) I cant see that blowing such a big chunk on one player is worth it.
