Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

If Chopra has a better goals/game record this season than David Nugent Esquire, I shall shave my pubic hair and make a (now world famous) Pubic Hair omlette and scran the contents on camera.

I will of course post proof on TDP.

You have your bet Mr Townsend.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I see United are all over the papers today moaning about Heinze's agent apparently approaching clubs illegally trying to get him a move away from Old Trafford.

This being the same Manchester United that told Heinze in writing, that he wasnt wanted and could leave with their blessing if they found a buyer.

Far be it from me to defend a football agent, but I cant see what they've done wrong with this one. Apart from the fact that the only club that is prepared to offer the player a move is a club they dont want to sell to. Whinge whinge whinge from Fergie, as per usual.

Quote:
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken of his anger at the conduct of Gabriel Heinze's agent.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez says the club's lawyers are working on forcing through a £6.8m deal for the 29-year-old Argentina defender.

But Ferguson said: "We are examining some of the statements coming from his agent and when contact was first made with Liverpool.

"We are not happy with the agent's conduct in the matter."

Interview: Liverpool chief exec Rick Parry

Ferguson added: "We're are examining that as well, but it will take a couple of days before we have anything more to say."

Liverpool have met the fee that would secure the Argentine defender's release - stated in a letter from United to Heinze's agent - but Ferguson does not want to sell Heinze to his arch-rivals.

Benitez said: "We made an offer which they rejected. The lawyers are working on it now so we have to wait."

BBC Sport understands the letter does not preclude Liverpool from buying Heinze, and he could also fight United to secure a switch to Anfield.

The fee, believed to be higher than the £6.8m mentioned, is not in Heinze's contract, it is contained in the letter to his agent.

Chopra scored nearly twice as many league goals as Nugent last year, why wont he do it again?

Could Deco be on his way out of the Nou Camp? I heard that Barca had an XI on XI training match yesterday and that Deco wasnt in either team. He isnt injured so surely that spells bad news for the wee man. Surely there would be a number of Premiership clubs interested.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Bloody hell ure slacking AFU , not even a mention of City in todays rumour mill.

Moyes will do well to get Baines if it comes off and i've been wondering all season why nobody else bar Sunderland have been interested, he's only a young kid but has excellent potential, I'm certain he'll be a big success so long as he avoids injury.

See Bartons doing Newcastle some good allready without even having kicked a ball in anger for them.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I think Moyes will have worked a miracle if Baines joins them. I cant help feeling that he is prepared to turn down all the middle of the road clubs (Sunderland, Everton etc) in the hope that this time next year a bigger club will be in the hunt for him. A top-10 club if you willl.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

U just hate the tofees don't you

I'd be surprised if he turned them down as he's an Everton fan himself allthough his agent will probably have the last say in the matter.

As for holding out for a bigger club i'm not so sure as i can see Wigan struggling this yr now jewell has gone and the recent transfers @ Wigan shows Whelan looks like he's trying to consolidate fearing the worst for this coming season.

He obviously has no intention of trying to match Baines' wage demands for a new contract and the solution will be to sell him now whilst he's at the top of his game and in the shop window as a bright new prospect.
