West Ham will make another bid for Derby youngster Giles barnes after having an offer of £2.5m rejected. (The Sun)
I hope Mr Barnes stays at Derby for 1 season more. They are going down, that we all know, but I think he will get more first team footy than at the hammers.

Also, a side matter, myself and my esteemed drinking partner were suprised to note that Giles Barnes is black. Indeed, we deemed him "Suprisingly Black". I had imagined he would be a public school educated toff, whose parents owned a country estate and went shooting at the weekend.

Liverpool's Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Anthony Le Tallec are set to end their spells at the club by joining Spain's Recreativo Huelva. (Mirror)
Fuck me, the Mirror's on the ball here. They only signed Pongo 2 months back!. Le Tallec will go as soon as we agree to sub his wages. Apparently the Spanish team wont match his contract and so it is up to us to sub the poor lad.

Chelsea's Arjen Robben could finally be on his way to Real Madrid after his father and agent, Hans, said a deal may be sealed on Wednesday. (various)
Glad there's an end in sight with this one.

Will be sad to see the diving little get go, because he is very talented. But on the plus side, it makes finishing above Chelsea more attainable.

Ooooooh some more gossip, from today's Liverpool Daily Post:

LIVERPOOL manager Rafa Benitez looks set to splash the cash once again with a £7 million move for Real Madrid wing-back Cicinho.

Italian side Roma have been in talks for a while with the Spanish Giants however Liverpool look set to swoop in and take the player from under the noses of the Italian side.

It is believed the Anfield club are prepared to offer the Brazilian £2million per year to move to Anfield.

Cicinho eh. From what I recall he seems a canny buy. Why do Madrid want rid though after just one season, I think.

Dont Liverpool already have Finnan and Arebola (hes a full back isnt he? ).

I like full backs like Cicinho. Very attack minded but not so great at defending.

A team like Liverpool could just be what he needs to iron out some of his defensive flaws just now.

Keeks - indeed we do have Finnan and Alvaro. Maybe Rafa is considering Arbeloa as cover for the left back position and Cicinho as cover for right back. It could be 'plan B' just incase we dont sign Heinze??

Hmmmm

Always been a big fan of Le Yak, but I think £11m is somewhat steep for him, no?

Dunno mate. When you have Bent going for his ridiculous amount then its not too bad. Especially when Yakubu has consistently done the business each season hasnt he.

Yeah I suppose when you put it into context, it doesnt seem that bad. Always been a fan of the Yak and had been wanting Liverpool o sign him last year and the summer before. He's got a good record considering the teams he's played for.

For aslong as he has been in the EPL i have always known him to end up in the top 5 goalscorers of the league.

Seems like its going to happen with BBC reporting it as their main story.

Boro are going to be in the shit. Viduka gone too and his great season last season seems to have gone unnoticed.

Your taken out 40+ goals a season in Viduka and Yakubu and replacing them with Aliadierre and Tuncay

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

I think Aliadierre is a good player, really really talented. Not too sure about Sanli, he was good on a couple of version of FM, thats as much as I know.

Cant see them being up for the hustle and bustle though can you? They are very very different to the big, uncompromising, brick shit house style of both Yak and Fat Boy.

I dont rate Aliadierre one bit and im sure 95% of Celtic fans and SPL followers will feel the same.

So much hype and so little quality when he came to Celtic on loan. His pace is about the only positive i can give on him

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

If Aliadiere was in anyway a player (he was a prospect about 6 years ago, can no longer be classed as that) then he would have stood out at West Ham or Wolves or wherever he was the last 2 seasons and Wenger would not be letting him go for £2m.

Another young Gunner who had potential but never quite hit the heights he was expected too. Then again they can't all turn out to be outstanding players.

Interesting this one

Quote:
Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves has pleaded with Sevilla to consider an offer from Chelsea.

The £20m-rated 24-year-old says he wants to join a bigger club - and Chelsea is his preferred destination.
Wonder if his move is subject to Robben leaving, to finance the deal?

Hmmmm, interesting.

Winger Hameur Bouazza has joined Fulham from Watford for a fee that could rise to £4m.

The 22-year-old has agreed a four-year deal and is Cottagers manager Lawrie Sanchez's eighth signing of the summe
Fulham are going down.

Another shit signing.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Yak would be a great signing, 10m or so is fine for him for sure hes always banging them in. I dont know really what else he does though but the stats dont lie and hes nearly a goal every other game striker all through his career and hes only 24. Done it for not very good teams either.

Boro really shouldnt sell him though, I reckon they go down if they do.

EDIT - 84 goals in 178 starts and a bunch of sub appearances. Goals spread evenly throughout all competitions inc euro as well. Quality

Sky Sports News is saying weve made an offer of just over 10 million for him. Cant see Boro selling though, itd be suicide
