Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
They might not have a choice Muze. His agent is Pini Zahavi and he's a crafty one. Might well have a clause in his contract where he can leave if a certain amount is bid. Either way, an experienced agent like Zahavi will ensure that his client moves on.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
I agree with museyman, they will be fighting relegation if they get rid of him, they probably will be down there anyway and what does it say about them selling top players to other premiership clubs outside the top four.
And dont forget about lee-dong-yuk or whatever he's called!

Aston Villa have pipped Manchester City to the season-long loan signing of Liverpool keeper Scott Carson. (Various)

Strange decision this one from Rafa IMO. His other G/K cover is Alvin Martin's kid and there were rumours he was off on loan to Yeovil for the season. Leaves us short of Premiership class cover.

West Ham hope to complete a deal for Eidur Gudjohnsen before the end of the month after agreeing a £6.7m fee for him with Barcelona. (Various)

Good signing this, given the amounts that have been paid for very average players this transfer window. £6m for Chopra, £6m for Smith - to get Gudjohnsen for around that price is a great deal. No doubt some cunt will come on and say how rubbish he is and how he's overrated. Well you're wrong. Eidur's decent and a bargain at that price.

Well, looks like you've got another keeper now.
Quote:
LIVERPOOL, England, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Racing Lens have sold France under-21 goalkeeper Charles Itandje to Liverpool for an undisclosed fee, the Ligue 1 club said on Thursday.
The transfer is likely to mean that reserve Scott Carson leaves Anfield for a rival Premier League team, media reports having linked the keeper with a loan move to Aston Villa.
"The directors have concluded the sale of Charles Itandje to Liverpool," Lens said in a statement.
"He leaves after six years of good and loyal service. We wish him good luck and best wishes."
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is set to use Itandje as back-up for first-choice Jose Reina.
Benitez also wants to abandon his strategy of deploying Steven Gerrard on the right flank, saying he now accepts the England international's best position is in the centre of midfield.
The Spanish coach has reinforced his options out wide by signing Ryan Babel from Ajax Amsterdam and West Ham United's Yossi Benayoun during the close season.
"We have brought in wingers because we know Steven Gerrard is not a proper winger," Benitez told reporters on Thursday.
"It is clear he likes to play as a central midfielder and I think that could be his best position."

I wouldnt say that in the centre is his best position and if thats where he plays, I wouldnt say that the experiment on the right has been a failure.
Stevie G is most effective on the right wing. It might not be where he prefers to play, but it is where he is most effective. He will never score > 20 goals, in a single season, playing in the centre.

Ive no idea either. Ill be happy as long as Duncan Bannatyne is the backer.
I dont really care what happens or how if we actually got the player. He wasnt awesome last season but he was good. Hed be our 2nd best midfielder behind Arteta. Someone else who can actually hold onto the ball and pass it!

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Muze - I dont agree with all this business of 50% ownership and the like. If you have a player, you want him to be your player. Imagine you have a great season, but your star man trots off to Lisbon for 12 months to play for benfica for a year. How crap is that.
I know it goes on a lot in Italy, I believe Micolli had 50-50 contract a few years back. Wouldnt trust it. Cant see how it would work in the long term.
