Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Have to wonder what happened at Inter last season for him to not play much and only score 3 goals i think it was.

In this day and age though £10m for a relatively young player who bar last season has done exceptional would be a pretty good deal imo.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Kiko - I agree in a way. He's 25, fast as fuck and 6 foot 2. His goals per game ratio for club and country is brilliant too.

Inter - 43 goals in 99 games, 22 in 36 at Parma & 25 in 37 for Brazil.

I think his main problem is that he likes to go out on the lash and is a bit of a big time Charlie. Would London (and West Ham) be the best place for him? Could Curbishley take someone like that under his wing and put the straight and narrow? I dont know if Curbs is a big enough personality to do that.

I think Sven would be the man to handle a personality like him. Bring him down to earth, make him feel valued and get the most from him.

Portsmouth will try to sign Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe if they fail to lure Nicolas Anelka from Bolton. (Times)

But the race is on for Defoe as he is also wanted by Chelsea and Aston Villa. (Daily Telegraph)
Wow, just bought the Times today and it's a Defoe-fest in there. Virtually every paper carries rumours of Jermaine man going somewhere or other.

Last week it was Dimitar, now it Defoe on his bike.

The Chelsea one puzzles me, dont think he'd have the required quality to improve the team. He isnt a bad player, just wouldnt make it in to any of the top 4 clubs for me.

Are they saying the Kiev chairman is unhappy because he has to be first in line to loan Shevchenko? Why would he be unhappy??

Ehhh? How can you agree to pay £9m but then loan him for the first season? Is this try before you buy or something? What happens if he is pish?

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Shame its only a loan but getting him off the wage bill will be a huge bonus for Strachan to bring in some class players hopefully.

Lets hope Graveson has a stormer of a season single handedly winning Everton the league and UEFA Cup and then goes for £10m at end of season

Useless mate. I remember thinking he was going to be great after he scored 2 goals against the enemy on his debut? If not one of the first few games for him.

Apart from that he was terrible. He was like some madman on drugs running around like a headless chicken not having a clue what was going on.

When in possession his distribution was terrible. Couldn't pass and then he would try and skin players and that wouldn't come off either.

I was majorly disappointed as when the signing was announced i thought it was superb piece of business as i remember seeing him doing great for Everton in his last season.

Read around a few message boards on the BBC etc. Everton fans say bar that final season for them when he was great he was just an average player at best prior to that?

Now we need rid of Jarosik and Balde (only if Balde doesn't feature in plans as i still rate him ahead of what we have).

That sounds about right

Basically he was an in and out player. Play really well one game (usually at home) then dodgy/frustrating the next 2 repeat ad infinitum. When on form he has some superb control and skill and has real presence but more often that not he was the drugged chicken you described above. Then 2 seasons ago suddenly he was impeccable for about 4 or 5 months, wasnt taking long range shots that never went in anymore, just controlled games and did everything right. Real Madrid came in and took him on and there you go. He was just on a hot streak and they bought into it thinking he was some defensive midfielder for some reason

I cant help but like him though as he really wants to do well you can tell. Id have him back in the team if im honest lol
