Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Rangers now taking in Olivier Bernard. Always a good attacking wingback/left back i have liked.
Should do alright up here in Scotland.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
I agree Kiko, I am pretty excited about Bernard signing for Rangers. He has been signed as replacement for Ball, who IMO was possibly the most over-rated, over-played player at Rangers. He never got forward and insisted on playing long-balls to no-one in particular. Bernard on the other hand doesn't need any encouragement to go forward, he gets a good cross in and likes having a pop himself. I think he will thrive in Scotland. He is quick too, I can see him playing a similar role to that of Agathe at Celtic. At 25 he has age on his side and he actually made the French squad less than a year ago.
Jeffers I think will do reasonably well too. He loves making runs into the box and times them well. He will do well picking up the knockdowns from Dado Prso. He may not have set the world on fire in England, but he is obviously talented and I think he will do a good job for Rangers.
The third bloke, Maniero, don't know much about him really. Except that Rangers bid £9million for him back in 2000, when Rangers could make bids like that.
Time will tell for all three though...

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Jeffers will do well with people on his side, he can be the main man and will get his tail up no doubt giving the poor-er teams a good hiding. Will do his confidence the world of good. Its a million miles away from being given 10 minutes at the end of a match and coming on against opposition like Man U or Liverpool..... regular football and the confidence of your manager can only help you along eh...aye I hope the scumbag bluenose does alright for you's alex....

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Olivier Bernard will be a great signing. He did really well at Newcastle and was one of the top players for 2 years in a row. The only problem is that he is a typical Frenchman (a greedy cnut). He demanded to be amongst the top earners at Newcastle, thats the reason he left.
I think clubs can only sign players who are out of contract now...so Derby are going to find it difficult to replace Rasiak!

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
The window is firmly shut, locked, bolted and alarmed - but still Karl-Heinz stoops over in his little Barn Conversion workshop, doing his best to keep the RummourMill turning. Footy Journos have to earn their keep some how even if no transfers can take place for 4 months...... a selection of the latest lies to do the round this week....
Stroller Ameobi linked with a move to the villa.....cant see why they would want him. Absolutely fucking useless.
Jaoquin to Liverpool.......hmmmm bit of shit stirring from the Spaniards prior to the match mid-week...? I very much think so.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Ooooooooh its heating up now.
The hottest property in the Championship since, er well ever - Theo Walcott looks to be heading out of Southampton. Today Dave Bassett has announced Theo is going nowhere, which means he is definitely on his way out come January. The £8million teenager (who scored another cracker at the weekend) is Liverpool bound in January. Though apparently Chelsea and Arsenal have been sniffing round. His new agent is reportedly that Pina-Colada-Zahavi feller. The one blamed for that Cole-gate scandal and umpteen other tapping up affairs. With him on the case, a deal is surely inevitable.
Interesting to see that kieron dyer came out today and claimed that injuries have left him feeling suicidal. I knew this guy wasnt right in the head. I seriously think he is a manic depressive and thats why he isnt healing. There were rumours doing the rounds that he had a liver infection or had hit the bottle. Perhaps a combination of them all is accurate?
How a young man earning £4million a year can be depressed is beyond me.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Apparently Marcus Bent could be on the way to Sheff Wed on loan in January, if Moyes secures his target of Robbie Keane in the transfer window. Interesting that one. Apparently Moyes is keen to help out his old pal, Paul Sturrock

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Joaquin will surely move in January if Betis remain rooted to the bottom of La Liga.
Opinion up 'ere is that he wants to move to newcastle. Obviously he has looked at the roaring success Owen and Luque have had and he fancies a slice of the Geordie weather, months injured on the sidelines, the vitriol of unhappy fans week in week out etc etc
If Joaquin moves to n.u.f.c in Jan, I will eat my pubic hair in an omlette and paste pics on TDP..........0/10 for that rumour, infact -1/10.........its just noooot gonan happen.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill

Luton manager Mike Newell hopes to sign Aberdeen defender Kevin McNaughton next week. (Daily Record)
================================================== ==================
Thought I would put up some of the stories doing the rounds at the moment.... Chelsea try to sign Roberto Carlos and Tevez after being turned down for Shevchenko and Ashley Cole. Has a distinct feel of Championship Manager about it.
I just wonder whether Chelsea have become a bit of a laughing stock in private? They seem to be in for everyone and I cant decide whether that deserves respect or shows fear... Do players see them as a Jonny come Lately or as an exciting team to join?
Interesting to ponder, for sure.

Re: Karl-Heinz Rumour Mill
Edgar Davids is ready to quit Spurs - even if they end the season in fourth place and win the final place in the Champions League. (News of the World)
Michael Owen is worried that his battle to be fully fit for the World Cup finals may end in heartbreak - just like Wayne Rooney's. (Sunday Mirror)
Hmmm, apparently he isnt fit enough to start today - doesnt look good does it?
Middlesbrough defender Franck Quedrue wants to leave the Uefa Cup finalists and join Liverpool. (News of the World)
I bet you do son, not an effing chance. We have Riise, why on earth would we need this french tart?
Chris Sutton will re-join former club Blackburn this summer. (Sunday Mirror)
Atletico Madrid have offered striker Fernando Torres to Manchester United - but want £14 million plus Ruud van Nistelrooy in exchange. (Daily Star)
Not a bad deal for United that. Like Torres a lot but always thought we was out of our reach. Bit and strong as well as skilfull. Looks like Van N is deffo heading out of OT this summer. Another example of Ferguson's ego clashing with a player's. Thou shall worship no other god than me.
United, Liverpool and Spurs are all interested in Wigan full-back Pascal Chimbonda and may get their man for around £4 million. (Daily Express)
Fair enough. Seems a decent enough player and I chose him as my right back in my Premiership team of the year. We currently have Kromkamp and Finnan at right back. By all accounts, Jan is a bit of a loner and doesnt get on/want to get on with his team. When on the team bus he's on the phone all the time and doesnt mix out of hours with them. Time for a sharp exit IMO. Wouldnt be suprised to see him leaving this summer at all.
Liverpool will sell winger Harry Kewell this summer - probably to Valencia, for a fee of £4 million. (Sunday People)
Hmmmmm. Just as he seems to have both fitness and confidence, we sell him? Not on your life. He's there to stay surely. Think they'd be crackers to sell him especially with some of his performances this year.
Blackburn boss Mark Hughes wants to sign Celtic's Stilian Petrov. (People)
He asked for a transfer didnt he just after signing a new deal? Havent seen much (any) of him so cant really comment.
Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is just one good performance away from an England call-up. (Sunday Mirror)
Surely not? A cracking little player but cant see Sven picking him - too risky for Mr Burns surely.
Stuart Downing and Phil Neville are also in line for shock call-ups to the England squad. (Daily Star)
Premier League chairman are ready to use the TV deal windfall to cut ticket prices and subsidise fans' travel to away matches. (Sunday Express)
Why? Surely will apply only to shit clubs who cant sell out anyway? Best thing Chairmen could do to boost attendance (away fan wise) would be to have teams making short visits only mid-week. Whether or not fans get a free coach, most cant get time off work to trek 300 miles to watch a wednesday night game.
Sir Clive Woodward is ready to leave Southampton and take up a role with the England rugby team. (Sunday Telegraph)
Good, lets hope he loses every game with them. Cant stand Rugby Union.
