Re: THE NEW MARADONNA

Mmmm, the new Maradona.

After Aimar, Riquelme, DelAssandro, Tevez and no doubt 20 others.

Interesting debut, looks like he packed more into his 2 minutes than many footballers achieve in a lifetime

Re: THE NEW MARADONNA

Is this Messi? I havn't watched the clip yet. If it is then apparently Rangers were pretty close to signing him on loan this season according to sources I know close to the club. However, looks like we are going to have to settle for Nieto instead!

Re: THE NEW MARADONNA

Was this kid the captain of the U19s or U20s in the most recent tournament?

Can't remember exactly which one, think it was the Youth Cup that was on Eurosport.

I seen a few of the games and the final in particular this kid stood out and was fantastic the whole game scoring both the goals in the process although i am sure they were both penalties.

I agree with Crowie - its just like Brazil, whenever these countries have a new pyoung player who has made a fantastic start to their career they always get the inevitable tag of the next Maradona, or the next Pele etc.

Truth is - i don't believe we will ever witness players getting anywhere near the level of these two.

Many have been labelled this, and all have failed.
