Re: Champions League Draw

First thoughts is that i think Man Utd and Arsenal have got it as easy as they could've.

Man Utd's many will argue is tough im sure but Lille aren't the best of sides and Everton gave Villarael a good run for their money so i would be confident of them cruising through.

Liverpool and Chelsea's group is a real nightmare with the only light being Anderlecht in that group. Betis are a nightmare 4th seed to have to face in here and its going to be a toss up between them and Liverpool to qualify along with Chelsea i reckon.

Rangers group isn't that bad to be honest bar Inter. Porto aren't the side they once were but will be a tough match never the less.

Artmedia are a very poor side IMO and they should be looking to take 4 points minimum off them to give them a chance.

Re: Champions League Draw

That'll be tough for Liverpool I agree, they certainly need 6 points from Anderlecht, & from Betis.
Arsenals is as good as they could have wished for tbh
Cant seeRangers winning in Porto though Kiko, so dunno with that one, & it could go down to who gives Artmedia a bigger hiding IMO.

I'll disagree there

When you look at who Man Utd could've drawn, and who they actually did draw, it could've been much better for them. Probably the ideal draw would've been Ajax, Club Brugge and Artmedia Bratislava. Villareal are one of the top teams in Spain, Lille are decent from what little I've seen of them, and Benfica are better than most of the 4th seeds I'd say.

Arsenal couldn't have wished for much better than that though

Oh and by the way, I'm sure that Manchester United will qualify, but it probably won't be a total walk in the park

Why would Liverpool need 6 points from both teams? That would give them 12 plus anything they get from Chelsea. Usually 9 or 10 is enough for second place at least. If Chelsea somehow win all 6 games, Liverpool could qualify with as low as 4 points

Re: Champions League Draw

Even so, they'll still probably not need that many. You're probably assuming they'll get nothing from Chelsea, but they didn't lose either leg of last season's semi-final with them.

We'll see how it goes, but Liverpool could easily qualify with 7 or 8 points in total, or as low as 4, 5 or 6 points in total from Betis and Anderlecht

Re: Champions League Draw

An interesting draw but I am gutted at the two teams I would most likely be laying in all their games managed to get drawn in the same group No guesses on who they were.

Will be interesting to see how much of an arse of it Arsenal can make in away games v Prague, Ajax and Thun. Spread says about 2-3 away points from that lot if previous years are anything to go by.

Man Utd will no doubt be through after 4 games and lose away to someone like Lille in the last or second last round.

Milan's group isn't the easiest IMO, PSV (semi finalists last year) and Schalke are decent enough and Fener should present some sort of challenge at home.

Rosenborg will get well humped of all 3 teams in their group. Terrible this season, very opposable in that group.

Rangers might just make the UEFA Cup
