Good enough for you

Its a shame that the football authoritys dont act like the main men in Rugby League...

Wigan's Terry Newton will spend even more time on the sidelines after losing his appeal against a 10-match ban.

The hooker is now suspended until 15 April, 2006 following the challenges on Lee Gilmour and Sean Long in the Super League clash with St Helens.

That means the 26-year-old
will miss 10 league and cup games next season.

Basically he was as guilty as sin , so he appealed anyway therefore wasting everyones time , so what do the rugby league do ? Yes they increased his ban

Re: Good enough for you

I feel the football authorities could get a lot of good by following other sports ways of dealing with things as many of them seem to control things well but football has always had silly rules which should never be allowed to happen.

For example i remember a celtic player one time appealing his ban meaning when he was meant to be banned for a Rangers game, because of the appeal and waiting for what was happening, he was able to play in this Rangers game when his sending off was the correct action.

Bit of a joke to be honest and good on the rugby league for doing this
