Re: World Player Of The Year Shortlist

You really do wonder where they get some of these from for their shortlist.

I mean have they just picked the best players from the top teams or something??

Ruud Van Nistelrooy - was he not missing for most of the season through injury?

Jay Jay Okocha??? - Your having a laugh. I didn't watch much Bolton last season but he wasn't half the player he was the season before from what i seen.

And how the hell John Terry isn't there i will never know - makes a mockery of the whole thing.

To be honest and fair i reckon Frank Lampard should get it. I don't believe any player on that list has been so consistent throughout the season both domestically, European and for the national side than him. I also don't think that many of them can say to have had more influence to their side than Lampard also.

Are we getting odds on this?

Re: World Player Of The Year Shortlist

The shortlist is just a list of all the big name players in Europe, its not how they have performed...bit of a joke!

For me Lampard or Henry should get it....but its going to be Ronaldinho.

Re: World Player Of The Year Shortlist

That was my mate Jesus the cnut. He forwarded it to me earlier and added Elliot as he is a Newcastle fan and i always wind him up about him.

Ronaldinho is 4/5 to win this award?? :loon

Very short i thought considering he kind of fell away towards the end of the season.

Lampard at 16/1 and Gerrard at 25/1 look not bad. Shevchenko at 8/1 i think it was and second favourite and he could be a genuine winner as he has had a good season for Milan.
