Re: Transfer Talk !
Crowie did u listen to real radio phone in last nite? all the celtic fans phoning in and raging about letting chris sutton go and replacing him with double d lol.
Heard some saying strachan didnt have a clue and i have never rated him as a manager. i mean he hasnt really done anything. if im honest, 2nd place is all im looking for.
If i could make a choice between finishing 2nd and not winning anything and finishing 3rd and winning the league cup, i would rather finish 2nd. Get it right up these rangers prats. Andy goram in the paper today saying its only a matter of time before rangers reel in hearts. Gets my back right up. Wonder wat rangers will do without their champs league money if we finish 2nd
Get it right up you! , you short sighted, rangers, fat, short, arsed, bastard

Re: Transfer Talk !
BBC really can be clueless at times
Quote:
1500: Hearts make another big move in the transfer market, signing four new players.
Bosnia winger Juho Makela, 26, joins from Racing Genk on a three-and-a-half year deal. Jose Goncalves, 21, and Bruno Aguiar, 24, are on loan from FBK Kaunas.
Mirsad Beslija signs from HJK Helsinki.
|
Nationalities, ages, signed from, length of contracts - all wrong!!
FF,
Think its a bit harsh comparing the signing of DD as a direct replacement for Sutton. Sutton was on £30k a week and was always going to leave due to him and Strachan not getting on at all. Dublin can only be a stop gap but won't be on anywhere near that money. However I would also not play him in front of ANY of our current strikers or defenders and can't personally see how/where he would get a game.
Mind you, thats the Real Radio phone in for you ain't it, loads of arseholes who have nothing better to do than phone radio stations with ludicrous comments.
One postive regarding Strachan - he is much more proactive in the transfer market than MON ever was. We already have Miller and Caldwell signed up for next season. Celtic are finally making use of the Bosman ruling and pursuing players who are going to be out of contract come the summer. While out signings may not quite be on the same scale, seeing Rangers tie up players like Prso and Boumsong for nowt while MON scrabbled some last day of the window signings like Ulrich Laursen and Steve Guppy wasn't particularly pleasing.

Re: Transfer Talk !
I don't know why more clubs don't do it Crowie. You need to keep your eye on potential free signings. They do probably cost a bit more in wages, but the overall cost can be a lot cheaper than paying out a fee.
Chelsea used to do it a lot when Bosman first happened. They signed players like Vialli, Gullit, Poyet, Brian Laudrup, Tore Andre Flo (for a nominal fee because his contract was running out in a couple of months), Forssell, Melchiot and a few others that didn't work out such as Bogarde, Bosnich and De Lucas.
They have virtually unlimited money to spend now, but their former managing director Colin Hutchinson was very clever in the transfer market when they weren't quite so well off.

As expected, Hearts have completed the signings of Mirsad Beslija, Jose Goncalves, Bruno Aguiar and Juha Makela - but they have not finished their work and look set to add to more names to their squad.

Re: Transfer Talk !
Hearts sign 8 on deadline day and 11 in total
Hearts' frantic winter transfer window activity continued as three more new faces arrived at Tynecastle on Tuesday evening.
Slovakia international defender Martin Petras and Czech striker Ludek Straceny moved to Edinburgh on loan from Lithuanian side FBK Kaunas, while teenage goalkeeper Rais M'bolhi Ouhab has joined the Jambos on a six-month contract after being released by Marseille.
Earlier on Tuesday Hearts had announced the signings of Bosnian winger Mirsad Beslija from Racing Genk and Finland striker Juho Makela from HJK Helsinki, while Jose Goncalves and Bruno Aguiar arrived on loan from FBK Kaunas.
The seven deals followed the signings of Lee Johnson, Chris Hackett, Neil McCann and Nerijus Barasa earlier in January.
There was more good news for boss Graham Rix, as Lithuania striker Saulius Mikoliunas has extended his loan stay at Tynecastle from FBK Kaunas until the end of the season.
Come on the hearts!
get ur money on hearts to win the league

Re: Transfer Talk !
Quote:
Deportivo La Coruna defender Lionel Scaloni has joined West Ham on loan for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old has failed to hold down a first-team place this season under coach Deportivo Joaquin Caparros.
But the Argentine international has a wealth of experience and completes boss Alan Pardew's search for a right-back.
Scaloni has signed after a move for Barcelona's Gabri fell through and is aiming to win a World Cup place in his country's squad.
Scaloni's agent and father Angel said: "The president (Augusto Cesar Lendoiro) was convinced by this particular offer and it satisfies the player on a sporting level as he will have the chance to play.
"He was very happy in La Coruna, where the people treated him very well, but the life of a professional footballer has these things and he did not have much chance under Caparros at Deportivo." Scaloni joined Deportivo in 1998 and has played more than 250 games for the Spanish outfit, including more than 50 Champions League matches.
