Rodman signs for Brighton Bears

Denis Rodman has signed a deal to play one game for The Brighton Bears.

Don't know where to put this thread so I've put it here. His fee will be paid by the Club Sponsors and it appears he will play on Saturday night at the triangle centre in Burgess Hill against Guildford Heat.

Interesting Colbro although i am still failing to understand exactly why Rodman firstly went on Celebrity BB and why now he is doing this.

Reasons being he is a muli millionaire and one of the best NBA players of all time. He doesn't need the money, nor does he have anything to gain from this as he is only there to be shot down and won't do anything to further his reputation.

Ticket Prices have apparently been increased from £12.50 to £25.00 for the game. This in a venue which holds about 1200-1500. I can't confirm this because the internet hotline is currently down for maintenance
There is also the option for two more games which would cover Brightons games at the Brighton Centre which has a much bigger capacity.

He played in a similar deal for a Finnish team last year and performed quite well.

Dennis' game numbers when he played the one-off game in Finland playing for ToPo (they lost): 17 points, 6 rebounds. 5-for-13 three point attempts, under 2.5 blocks and under 4.5 assists (don't know the full stats for the last two).

Anyone know of any live coverage of the game?

I guess it can only be a good thing for BBL as it generates some extra interest and gets in people who might not have normally gone and attended the games so i wish them luck with pushing the game in the UK.
