Not too bad at all. Germans weaker than they have been in a while. The Czechs might be in transition somewhat after the WC? Slovakia I'd rank alonside us and Wales slightly below. Derby against Wales and for the 10th time (it seems that way anyway) we're drawn against Cyprus . Can't see us getting out of the Group but 3rd place should be a relaistic goal. Can't see anyone running away with this group.

Tough groups for Scotland and N.Ireland. England must be pleased. Two brittle on the road teams in Russia and Croatia. Wonder will Israel build on their WC qualifying campaign?

I have a sneaky feeling for Ireland to come through this group myself CJ.

The Germans aren't a patch on the sides they have been in the past. Be interesting to see how the Czechs go after the WC and Slovakia i'd stick a bit lower in terms of quality than you guys.

Definately think second minimum is a big possibility for you guys

Someone on the Gillingham rivals board said that Andorra v England will be played in Barcelona, not sure whether that's true, or where he got it from though.

I agree with you CJ ,us Welsh with Tosh in change will be hoping that "Millenium factor" doesn't encourage the away teams too much.
Will the Republic of Ireland v Wales be at Croke Park? If so that should be impressive , worth the ferry crossing, 100 mins to Dublin.
This group should give us hope and we could still have hopes of qualifying until the final two games , when we usually implode.

ouch for Scotland and Lithuania to think it was less than 20 years we beat France home and away in some qualifying group for a big tourney. We need to get rid of the foreigners from our game (no offence foreign people)

Yeah apparently they can play big matches at Barca's training ground. It holds 20'000, apparently they played Ireland there in 2001..

All the Republic's home matchs will be at Croke Park. I've been at the Brenebau and San Siro and in terms of facilities Croke Park better. The Wales - ireland match will put Six Nations games in the shade for decades to ccome. It is a massively impressive stadium that's as good as anything in Europe.

If you're over for the game I'll rent you the back room of my new gaff for a six pack of Guinness!
