Re: Who would have expected that.....

Jesus Christ thats a huge shock and i'd be interested to know what Liverpool fans think of this.

Makes you think someone must be on the way out as Morientes, Cisse, Crouch and Fowler are too much and would be very expensive to keep the lot.

Massive shock that is

Kop

Hes hardly top class anymore though is he. Im suprised Liverpool want him. Hes still okay though and maybe hell up his game for them. Just thought a club going places like Liverpool could look elsewhere tbh.

Re: Who would have expected that.....

When he got fit last season he was very good, he came 3rd in our player of the seasons which he said was one of the proudest moments of his life.

Thats quite a feat when it was only Wright Phillips who we idolised in 2nd and Dunne in 1st who must have got man of the match in nearly every game.

He had a lot of class on the ball and became a bit of a playmaker for us, lots of nice touches and im not happy he has gone. Glad for you though Komp mate If Goater were to come back...

Re: Who would have expected that.....

I am not saying that this is connected to the arrival of Fowler but another Liverpool forward may have had a tity lip worrying that he has slipped down the pecking order or maybe out of the door altogether.

Cisse has been cautioned by the police for assaulting his wife

Woooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooo

Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce that Robbie Fowler has rejoined the club on a free transfer from Manchester City until the end of the season when the situation will be reviewed.
Fowler, 30, completed the formalities of what is a sensational move this afternoon.

The Manchester City striker is ineligible to play in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Portsmouth but could make an emotional reappearance in front of the Kop against Birmingham City on Wednesday.

Toxteth-born Fowler originally shot to prominence with the Reds in the autumn of 1993 and quickly established himself as one of the most lethal finishers in Europe.

After breaking countless goalscoring records and captaining the club during the unforgettable treble season of 2000/01, his adoring fans were left stunned when he was transferred to Leeds United in November 2001.

His spell at Elland Road was to be short-lived though and in early 2003 he moved back across the Penines to join Manchester City.

Now he's back at his spiritual home and news of his Liverpool return will no doubt be greeted with euphoria by his loyal legion of followers.

With so much still to play for this season, Rafael Benitez will be hoping that Fowler can now turn back the clock and reproduce his once prolific form in front of goal as the Reds chase Champions League and Premiership glory.

Fowler re-signs for Liverpool

Jan 27 2006

by Ian Doyle, Daily Post

ROBBIE Fowler has made a sensational return to Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has completed a free transfer from Manchester City to return to the club where he made his name.

Fowler, who made his Liverpool debut in 1993, left Anfield in 2001 for Leeds United before moving to City.

He scored 171 goals in 330 appearances during his first spell at Liverpool.

Fowler is cup-tied for Sunday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Portsmouth but will come in contention for an emotional return to Anfield in Wednesday's home Premiership game against Birmingham City.
Anfield Road, Block 124, Row 18, Seats 92 & 93.....31/1/2006 - Liverpool v Birmingham City. Guess who has tickets but cant go.............!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The second coming, God's return. We're gonna win number six, in Paris, with Blobby Fowler scoring the winning goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
