Best Side in Europe Right Now

Bar Barcelona.

Been giving this some thought and its been quite hard to think to be honest.

Chelsea aren't playing too well at the minute. The same could be said for Juventus, Munich, Real Madrid for example.

No real stand out sides really.

If pushed i would probably say Milan who have started to pick up again and are not only playing well but scoring plenty of goals also.

Roma could be another contender after going on a great domestic run equalling the Italian record for most sucessive victories although their European ties against Boro weren't the most inspiring of performances, especially at the Riverside.

Arsenal possibly too after a great two legged win over Madrid, beating Liverpool too and a couple of resounding victories over Fulham and Charlton.

Who would your choice be?

Interesting point kiko. Loooking at Juventus and Bayern Munich over the last 15 games each only Bayern has suffered one defeat.

I may be biased as I have done very well betting wise from the above two but do agree about Real Madrid.

Definetly Juventus.
They play ugly football but 10 points advantage over Milan with only Viera as new player, that has to be impresive. They don't have the transfer budget as Chelsea,Real or Milan but the results are there and you must respect that.

Don't talk to me about Everton. Was going to have them this weekend until Friday and too much beer got in the way forcing a mega hangover Sat.

Aye you can't argue with that. I was looking more for sides that are winning but playing well and i don't think Munich have been as impressive, from what i have seen and read, as to what they were like earlier in the season.

Same for Juve. They are getting the points but aren't playing too well.

I mean you look at Barcelona and for me they are just total footballing genius. Defensively they are suspect but going forward they arean absolute joy to watch for me and there isn't another side in europe that come close to them in terms of performance, but more importantly getting the 3 points aswell as putting on a show.

Re: Best Side in Europe Right Now

Are you all blind
Only the one team i would pay to watch ( and i aint even a supporter of them ) Its got to be Arsenal , playing some brilliant footie with a young team a joy to watch , as for the italians , it takes them 20 passes to get out of there own f**king penalty area

Not a chance mate.

Their current domestic form in their last 15 games read 8-5-2. Far from outstanding in what you coudl argue isn't the strongest of leagues.

Re: Best Side in Europe Right Now

I am suprised TNS havent received a nomination. They enjoy a dominance that Barca can only dream of. A superb points/game ratio - the best in Europe and goals galore. Unbeaten in the league all season long - the invincibles of Total Network Solutions roll on relentlessey. I notice that Barca are 1-0 down to Getoffy - some bloke called Mork Nano-Nano scored apparently. When was the last time TNS lost eh?

TNS TNS! Allez les mighty hoops

Re: Best Side in Europe Right Now

Jeff Stelling has a great line about TNS , When they were winning last season he kept saying " they`ll be dancing in the streets of total network solutions tonight '

Re: Best Side in Europe Right Now

It just cant be Arsenal they were playing well shite just a month or so ago. Youd have to be saying the best team in literally the last few games to include them. In which case id still choose Everton
